First love provides the subject of this tale of lesbian romance. Randy lives with her aunt, a lesbian, and her lover. Randy is considered a tomboy. She has a boring job at her aunts' service station and has few life ambitions. Then she meets Evie, who drives in one day for a fill up. Evie is beautiful, black, rich and smart; she is also extremely popular in high school. It is love at first sight for both. But Evie hesitates. She has a boyfriend and feels confused at first. The two begin to date, and the film chronicles those experiences as they progress from hand-holding to love-making. But their relationship is not all roses and candle-light as they must face increasing homophobia. Evie loses many of her friends and must deal with her mother. … More

Critic Reviews for The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love
Only holds the interest above a sea of other bland teen romantic comedies for the girl-girl titillation factor - and only just barely
about twice as cutesy as it needs to be
Less incredible than interminable.
