Critic Review - indieWIRE

Tom Hooper turns history into formula. Can poor Bertie gather the nerves to address his people when duty calls? Take a wild guess.

It is a history piece so of course we know how it turns out. Any one can listen to the many speeches he gave "when duty called" but that is not the point of this film. It was about the journey he had to take to get there and the relationship he formed with the person who helped him accomplish it.

"Take a wild guess on both counts." I mean, really?! You wrote that?! We went to school, you ignoramus. Of course we know what happened, we had this thing called a history class. You go on and show us that you actually have zero understanding of those times and again, surprise, history of those times. What utter rubbish of a review. You actually get paid for this?!
