Movie Info

This witty and touching coming-of-age saga is set in Ireland and follows the tentative attempts of 17-year-old Frankie to have his first sexual experience. He is also concerned about passing the upcoming school exams and convincing his friends that holding an American-style beach-blanket party (like those in Elvis films) is a good idea. A shadow is cast upon his life when he begins suspecting that his strongly patriotic and forthright mother, who firmly believes that her children are descendents of Ireland's Mythical High Kings, may be having a fling with a creepy local politico. His father, an actor, is almost never home. Frankie loves both Jane and Romy and by the story's end, must choose between them. His life becomes more difficult when his cousin Erin from Milwaukee shows up.more

Super Reviewer

Not the greatest movie, but all the cute little things Jared Leto does makes up for it and makes it all worth watching.
