But there are good children's movies and bad ones. Miyazaki Pictures and Pixar are both examples. Dreamworks is the one still producing loads of low-brow insulting content for children. Kids are smarter than this.

Pixar films aren't actually "children's" films. They're certainly family friendly, but Pixar doesn't make them specifically for children. They're intended for everyone.

And because its a childrens movie its OK to be bad?

Studio Ghibli is a perfect example on how a good children movie is made, just look at My Neighbor Totoro. Just like Andrew says, kids are smarter than this!
When you buy food to kids do you think "wow this quality sucks! Well they are just kids so who cares".

Bad is bad no matter who the audience are.

How the hell do you become a top critic when the only critique you can manage to leave is this piss poor sentence.

Newsflash, princess, that's not the full review. Shocking, I know, I'm sure somewhere in your vapid little brain you've heard the word "summary" before. Dig through the piles of mental dreck and maybe in the last vestiges of your single functioning braincell you'll realize that you can click the "full review" button.

I read the book, saw the original cartoon, and I understand the lesson that Dr Seuss wished to tackle. This movie destroyed it all and this review is spot on.

The movie was boring and bland. So unfunny. I enjoyed the Despicable Me 2 trailer more than the actual film.
