This tale is filled with delightful characters and it's sugarcoated with vibrant animation and candy colors.

Roper likes it.. Yeah!! Lets all go out and see it! (sarcasm). Remember when he used to play the "bad cop" on Ebert and Roper? His picks were always Dead-On! That's what bugs me about this guy, he knows the movies he picks are swill, but he picks them anyway.

Did you see the movie? It's a logical fallacy to think that just because Roeper likes this movie that it's "swill."

Roeper is, in my opinion, the every man reviewer. He gives positive reviews to movies he finds fun and entertaining; they don't necessarily have to be deep and pretentious.
That's why I love him and trust him more than most other critics (even Mr. Ebert!).

I have to agree with him on this.

This movie was an insult to Dr. Seuss, and Roper is smoking something weird to think any different.

But the point of the Lorax isn't suppose to be about the delightful characters. It was meant to reflect the sinful, human nature that will be the end of the world.
