Fast & Furious 6
The Hangover Part III
RT on DVD & Blu-Ray
Inside Llewyn Davis
It's full of scenic splendors with a fine sense of scale, but its narrative thrust seems relatively pro forma, and I was bored by the battle scenes.
You gave a classic a Rotten? LOL and you call yourself a critic...
Jul 19 - 07:21 PM
He should call himself an asshole
Jul 31 - 09:41 AM
The Lord of the rings series are the best movies ever made.
Jul 31 - 09:42 AM
I wouldn't go that far, but they definitely don't deserve a rotten vote.
May 19 - 10:09 PM
One more critic who's more interested in the 'artsy-fartsy' than in actual entertainment value. Has he even bothered to ever read the book, to which the movie was very faithful?
Aug 19 - 09:25 PM
The movies should stand on their own.
Jul 29 - 02:34 PM
Are you on crack, i loved this film.
what's wrong with you what did you see that was genuinly terrible with this film.
Sep 29 - 11:32 AM
It should be a right to silence you, as there's nothing coming out of you that makes sense.
Oct 1 - 10:55 AM
I was bored the entire movie. My son and I slept as we were so bored. We went in with an open mind and WOW, it was closed and rested after about 30 minutes in.
Nov 20 - 05:38 AM
the movie is 3 hours longs and you7 gave it 30 minutes before you quit? have you ever read a book?
Dec 3 - 11:24 AM
I bet not because hes obviously an idiot
Jun 29 - 05:04 PM
to enjoy a movie you don't have to read the book beforehand. it's supposed to stand on its own. this movie certainly does. i think it's amazing and one of the best movies ever made, but you need to respect other peoples' opinions and not bash them...
Dec 22 - 03:37 PM
...maybe you and your son have ADD...
Oct 30 - 08:38 PM
I strongly disagree. In my opinion, this movie was done EXTRAORDINARILY well.
Oct 30 - 08:39 PM
I dont know how the fight scenes were the things that bored this critic.
Dec 12 - 08:01 PM
first star wars and now this. "sighs" you have no place on this website.
Dec 21 - 05:20 AM
You obviously haven't read the book or if you have your just plain stupid. The book is a classic NOONE argues with that fact. This movie is "full of scenic splenders with a fine sense of scale" and its faithful to the books narrative which means if you don't like the narrative your essentially saying you don't like one of the best selling and most widely acclaimed books of all time. Have you ever given a movie of this genre a positive review?
Mar 15 - 10:46 PM
As a matter of fact, many people do argue with its status. Including Tolkien's friends. It recieved some pretty scathing reviews at first, but it has improved.
Nov 13 - 06:28 PM
Just because a movie or a book is a classic does not make it invulnerable to critism, that being said, i disagree with the battle scenes being boring and anyways this is an adventure story not a summer blockbuster action movie.

Jul 14 - 06:33 PM
You guys flaming at this Jon are retarded, you can't always depend on reading the book if you're going to WATCH THE FREAKING MOVIE! That's one of the points of a movie, it has a different entertainment value than a book. And I somewhat agree with this review, I found the movie's only flaw was it's speechless gaps inbetween
Jul 29 - 05:59 PM
woah i have to disagree with you the battle scenes was one of the most epic ever
Aug 24 - 07:36 AM
Oct 3 - 04:04 PM
Don't worry guys, this is coming from a man who gave Waynes World 84%. Just laugh at him.
Oct 11 - 11:40 AM
Just so you know, when Rosenbaum gave a full-lengthed review with a rating, he gave it 3 out of four. In other words, he liked it. It's basically Rotten Tomatoes that deemed this negative. Though to be honest, I thought the whole movie was boring, completely lacking in the human moments of the book and more about an endless sea of tiresome battles.
Nov 7 - 07:34 PM
This guy is a critc? No he's a moron. HE GAVE A FRESH REVIEW FOR DUKES OF HAZZARD AND NOT THIS!!!!!! He gave rotten reviews for BIG, TRAFFIC, and numerous other 90% rated films. He is wrong, don't even read his dumbass reviews, unless of course you want a good laugh.
Dec 17 - 10:42 PM
Ha, this guy is a joke. He is more interested in being pretentious and esoteric to make himself seem "smart" or having a refined taste. He likes obscure films, but he hates one of the best films of the decade. Narrative thrust? If someone wants to argue anything about the discourse of this film then they will have a hard time. If the acting, filmography, and special effects sucked in this film-at least it'd have an amazing script with great dialog, story arc, and form. But this idiot complains about the one thing in this film that isn't flawed. Maybe he'll choke on a rotten tomato and never write another review.
Dec 24 - 03:36 PM
Rosebaum spends about twenty seconds writing a review; all he really manages to figure out is this is the first film of three which adapts R.R.'s classic trilogy. At least arithmethic didn't escape him.
Feb 23 - 08:58 AM
they brought a cave troll! and i think its..... jonathan rosenbaum?!?!
Mar 9 - 07:40 PM
