"..but much violence and scariness."

Seriously? It is a tale of outstanding courage and passion in the face of great, merciless evil. Thus, "violence and scariness" are necessary aspects of the film. Sorry if the "violence and scariness"frighten small children; I am sure the orcs frightened them too.

you should review films, that are just for children or family dramas, every time you review a film, with an inch of violence, like in this case, its the same comment, its too violent, i got too scared, too gory, come on woman, please... is not like this was Gladiator or Brave heart, films with battles that want to portrait realism. This is a fantasy movie, of epic proportions, that means heroic acts, that means battle and in this case, there were few human casualities... yes there was a head in a pike, an orchoes head.... but there is a lot of beautifull sets that make forget all the violence, no??, im just saying, each time you comment a movie slightly violent, its the same comment from your part "too much violence for my sensitivity"... do not review action movies, you are not an action person.

Eh sorry but I strongly disagree; if there's a market or demand for people who would want these sorts of reviews, then let their answers be. Just the other day I wanted to introduce my little sister to some quality, popular films and I found this site and this reviewer to be extremely crucial in aiding me w/ dodging some unnecessarily peculiar content.

Besides, your entire comment implodes from the fact Nell's complaints are just for the parents and children- she still gave this a PERFECT score!

would you rather the battle scenes be a bunch or people running about lobbing flowers at each other? battles usually are a bit violent.... could you not at least comment on the incredible effects, the story line, the climactic ending.... silly mare
