Audience Reviews for The Love Nest
The 19th and final out of the contractual 20 short films Buster had to complete before venturing into feature length films. "The Love Nest is 20 minutes and while not the greatest of his shorts it is a great trial run at one of his best features "The Navigator" (Which is due out in 2012 by Kino on blu-ray!) but is more about the dangerous ship captain and not the ship itself. The short packs plenty of great stunts and dark humor abounds thanks to the ship captain (Played by Joe Roberts) and his quick "dismissal" of any crew members that screw up in the least. This is also another short in which Buster uses the dream sequence aspect that he used both earlier and in later works such as "Sherlock Jr." and helps reshape the whole story with it's ending.More
