The Milky Way (1936)
In this film, Harold Lloyd plays a timid milkman who is present when boxing champ William Gargan is flattened by Lionel Stander. Since Stander works for Gargan's manager, he worries that he'll lose his job. Thus he allows Lloyd to assume that it was he who knocked out the champ.
