Critic Review - Globe and Mail

The result actually plays like a divine pronouncement, cosmic in scope and oracular in tone, a cinematic sermon on the mount that shows its creator in exquisite form. Exquisite but frustrating.

After reading a few critiques on this film by so-called "professional critics", I now know they are full of themselves and don't have a clue!!
This film was just plain boring with a director who doesn't know how to direct and an editor who is spaced out on a sugar cube!

This review is as pretentious as the movie, and just as useless

i had to watch it at uni for a course. i got injured cos it was physically hard to sit still through it and i had to move about in my chair banging me knees and shins. it was like being 5 again and finding out that mass that day wasn't going to be usual half and hour but a special treat of 3 gruelling hours! (the lecturer talked it up for an hour before hand) holey moley...i;m still not recovered 4 days later

Thank The Maker we have some sanity in this room. Terrance Mallick continues to put out unwatchable, mind-melding drivel and the critics continue to dance around his work with half praise that portends to make it sound like they have a clue as to what they're watching. The only thing keeping this POS from being the worst movie ever is Mallick's other Crapsterpiece ' The Thin Red Line'
