Shaun OF the Dead was ultimately more entertaining, but Hot Fuzz was some pretty funny shit :)
Sep 12 - 02:44 AM
So after seeing World's End, here is my order of the trilogy:
Hot Fuzz
Shaun of the Dead
The World's End
Even though it's my least favorite, it's currently my favorite film this year. I went to the Thursday 10:00 PM showing and had a blast.
Aug 25 - 10:47 PM
Shaun's great too! The worlds end was the perfect end to the trilogy. It's bittersweet thinking its the end though you know? they should do a reunion trilogy in ten years! What genres could they tackle next? Def a mid evil times tale!

I love Hot Fuzz better than Shaun of the Dead. I hate zombies but that movie was so damn funny that I overlook the zombies.
Aug 24 - 08:49 PM
I've only seen SOTD from 20 minutes into the movie to the end of it, however, I've seen all of Hot Fuzz, so I'm going to go with HF
Aug 24 - 02:34 PM
I think Shaun was the better film, but I personally enjoy Hot Fuzz the most out of the two. I'm not big into zombies but I adore the humor, so Hot Fuzz is kinda like the best of both worlds for me.
Aug 23 - 12:10 PM
It's hard to say and totally dependent on what you're in the mood for/tastes.
Overall, I'd say Shaun of the Dead for a more.. "nostalgic" factor being that it was the first in the trilogy and is really the reason why the trilogy exists.
I love both equally, but if I had to choose one.. it'd probably be Shaun because of that and the fact that it does zombie films better than 95% of zombie films.

Hot Fuzz. But I'm seeing World's End tonight at 10:00, so I guess I'll see if Hot Fuzz is still my favorite.
Aug 22 - 04:56 PM
I must have completely missed something, because I didn't find Hot Fuzz funny at all. I saw what they were going for, and really wanted to like it, but it just completely missed for me.
Aug 21 - 03:39 PM
I think Shaun of the Dead is the better movie, but Hot Fuzz is funnier, and I enjoy it a bit more.
Aug 16 - 07:31 AM
Having just seen The World's End, I still think Hot Fuzz to be the funniest of the three. The World's End was the best for about nine tenths of it's run-time but the ending, while not bad at all, left me wanting for a little more. I still think Spaced is the best of the Pegg/Frost/Wright collaborations though.
Aug 14 - 03:58 PM
I think they're both great comedies but I'd have to go with Shaun of the Dead. Personally, I think Edgar Wright's best film is Scott Pilgrim though.
Aug 13 - 01:15 PM
Shaun of the Dead is a masterpiece and Hot Fuzz was a great movie. I liked Shaun of the Dead more.
Aug 12 - 04:41 PM
Impossible for me to choose. On the one hand, Hot Fuzz makes me laugh more, but on the other hand I find Shaun of the Dead to be more clever in the writing department. Both are comedy classics and I could never choose one over the other.
Aug 12 - 10:19 AM
I found Hot Fuzz to lack the tenderness of Shaun of the Dead, but it's a much funnier, relentlessly entertaining film.
Jul 20 - 01:50 PM
After seeing this, At Worlds End without a doubt is the best of the three. But that wasn't a difficult choice for me since Shaun of the dead is one of the worst films i've ever seen and Hot Fuzz isn't much better either.
Jul 19 - 01:14 PM
Hot Fuzz is probably my favorite film of the two. Fucking hilarious. I have a great feeling about this one too.
Jul 16 - 09:22 PM
both were great, but Hot Fuzz had the better writing, plus it was great Having Timothy Dalton as a bad guy.
Jun 2 - 10:29 PM
Hot Fuzz all the way. But why does everybody forget about Paul?

Hot Fuzz is my all time favorite movie. Cannot fucking wait for this.

I like Shaun of the Dead - and I may need to watch it again before I can really commit to an answer - but I still will probably have to lean Hot Fuzz. That's genuinely one of my favorite comedies ever.
