My review of The World's End.

Can't.... contain..... NERDGASMS!!! Seriously, The World's End is the best movie of the year so far. It has amazing action scenes, sharp witty dialogue, great characters with alot of depth, and has great special effects. Simon Pegg gives his best performance yet as Gary King and Nick Frost as usual knocks it out of the park as well as the rest of the cast especially Paddy Considine and Eddie Marsan. Edgar Wright's direction is as good as ever and the cinematography by Bill Pope is fantastic (again, as usual) especially during the action sequences. Every joke hit and there was always a great amount of suspense because there were unexpected twist and turns that made it so you didn't know what the fuck was coming next. The drama in the film is also handled fantastically. Each character has their own personal triumphs and no one feels wasted (well, at least not in the literal sense). All in all, The World's End is very funny, full of great action and special effects, and fantastic performances.
Final Verdict: 10/10

It was very good, but I think it was the weakest of the trilogy. Gary King was a bit of an unlikable prick, the ending was pretty forced, the character development was decidedly lacking. That said, the comedy was outrageously funny, and the action scenes were brilliant. Personally, I think Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa was the comedy of the year (so far).

Ok, I am prepared for my lashings. I DON'T GET IT!!! DUMB. PAINFUL, HUMORLESS. I consider myself pretty funny. I have a dry sense of humor. My favorite comedy of all time is Sideways. I think I am pretty witty. Man did I hate this movie! Sorry, I guess I am not sophisticated enough. While were on the subject, I hate caviar and musicals too. Sorry, I just can't pretend to like stuff that I hate! I have never been so perplexed; maybe I was hoping for a "Sideways" type experience - what I got was an upside one. OK BLAST ME!!!! Lets see if I bleed ink?
