The police are investigating a murder after a grisly discovery is made: a skull tucked inside a plush Hello Kitty doll. They determine that it belonged to Maggie, a prostitute who ran afoul of a group of drug-addled gangsters. As the police dig deeper into the crime, they discover that Maggie's final days were indeed terrifying, and that she deserved a far better fate than she received. Exploiting true events for a drama of horror and torture, THERE'S A SECRET IN MY SOUP was given the controversial Category III rating (for extreme violence and sex) by the Hong Kong authorities.
