Reviews for Thomas Crown Affair, The
Whenever the cutesy story or the litany of billionaire toys and pads threaten to knock you out, Russo smiles, disrobes, and laughs like a mule.
The Thomas Crown Affair plays as a very grown-up, cynical and slick quasi-thriller, with a couple of hot sex scenes that look as if they're the ones missing from Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut.
Thomas Crown Affair comes across as a pale shadow of the 1968 original.
The Thomas Crown Affair is the movie that the people behind the heavy-handed Entrapment probably thought they were making.
In the game of love, sometimes even the most untrustworthy players can surprise us.
Brosnan's Crown is as charming as his lifestyle; Russo's Banning is smart and sexy!
Russo has finally found a role that enables her to blend her popular brand of vulnerable machisma with a strong dose of natural feminine wiles.
A supporting role by a formidable Dunaway, 58, as Brosnan's shrink, is not just a nice distraction, but a reminder that she and McQueen could chew these new kids up and spit them out.
McTiernan's camerawork in particular, though, gives the film the style to pull off what could have been just another remake!
Film remakes are seldom worth the celluloid they're printed on, but The Thomas Crown Affair is a stylish, sexy exception.
