Strives for mediocrity? Wow, I don't think I've ever heard a more underhanded insult for a film.

Shoehorning of shield... Let's just say that, that's like saying 'Shoehorning in the police' in a heist movie. You do understand context?

AGAIN every negative review I've read has been from someone who doesn't like the genre. I know that every genre flick should have an element to it that might conceivably convert anyone who doesn't like them but when you pour on the bile it's clear you didn't like this going in and just enjoy moaning.

But then don't we all ;)

I'm with you, Lead Sharp. Just because you're a critic doesn't mean you should go into a film wanting to hate it. A good critic is never won over.

It's almost like you walked into this film wanting it to suck and that's what you got. Here's an idea, save yourself some torture, and the movie a bad review, and watch a movie you think you'll actually enjoy

ah yes, Devin from CHUD: "Hater of ALL Things" (except Fast Five and Sucker Punch!) I usually don't comment on any critic's thread, because I usually don't give a fuck what they (or the tomatometer) have to say. (I read reviews solely for entertainment.) With that said, I'm growing quite tired of this pompous prick consistently talking directly out of his asshole. Maybe you should get started on your Avenger's review now, this way you won't have a full year of blind hatred building towards it. Devin, I wish you the absolute worst.

FYI: Before I am accused of being a rabid fanboy: I have actually SEEN Thor. I thought it was great (not at all groundbreaking), and the comparisons to Iron Man 1 are correct.
