The Three Sisters is a literal transcription of the 1965 Actor's Theatre production of the Chekhov drama. Kim Stanley, Geraldine Page and Shelley Winters play the title characters, all members of a wealthy but unhappy 19th-century Russian family. Stuck in a forsaken garrison town by their army-officer father, the sisters long to return to Moscow, a dream that, along with all their other dreams, is doomed to be unfulfilled.
