Included are highlights from How High Is Up?, Micro Phonies, What's the Matador?, Goofs and Saddles, Violent Is the Word for Curly, A-Plumbing We Will Go, Half-Wits Holiday, and many others. Stop! Look! And Laugh! also includes two comic sketches starring the briefly-popular animal act The Marquis Chimps. Stop! Look! And Laugh! was designed to take advantage of The Three Stooges' new popularity after their classic short subjects were sold to television -- and was created without their active participation. This soon led to a dispute between the veteran comics and their agent, who helped produce the feature without consulting them. Jules White, director of many of the classic Stooges shorts, compiled the feature and directed the new material.more
