Critic Review - Chicago Reader

Slightly bloated Bond, with too much technology for my taste and a climactic slaughter that's a little too mindless to be much fun.

Here's Dave Kehr's "review":

"Slightly bloated Bond, with too much technology and a climactic slaughter that's a little too mindless to be much fun. Still, Adolfo Celi makes a most memorable villain."

That's the ENTIRE "review". I can't put enough quotes around the word "review". How the f-ck does this count as a review??

TIME Magazine, the New York Times, Time Out, Variety, the Chicago Reader, Slant Magazine and the Washington Post hire the worst critics ever. They sh-t on every classic!

Thunderball was the worst of the previous bond films but still a decent movie

If Im not wrong, it was Connery's Favorite Bond film. Dr.No, From Russia With Love, Thunderball and Goldfinger are the best Connery's Bond. Im starting to enjoy hating Dave Kehr which means his master plan is working.

No uccimaru, Connery's favorite is From Russia with Love. Agree with ya all, this "review" sucks.

Terrible review. Just throws it in 43 years later to bring down the rating

Doesn't even consider the times. Even today I thought the underwater scenes, though a bit slow, were cool. Especially for the time. This bond was pretty good, and is up there with Goldfinger and From Russia with Love.
