This is the kind of movie you'd want to watch with a rewind button handy. Actually, at 127 painfully paced minutes, a fast-forward button might help too.
Yes, its no fast and furious

If you have the attention span of a 6 year old boy, don't watch it.

This movie made me want to learn how to time travel, hault the cold war and eliminate England. Not for the sake of peace but instead to eliminate the chance that I would ever waste a hard earned dollar spending two hours wondering if I started juggleing popcorn right now would anyone care, or would they even notice. The sighs of relief projected from the 7 mindless souls that joined me through this nightmare couldn't have said it better.

Probably the most incoherent movie I've ever seen. Excellent acting and authentic 1970's scenes, but 90% of the time I had absolutely no idea what was going on and after 90 minutes I should have just left since I wouldn't have missed much.

For a man who can't spell "halt" you give a remarkably high value to your opinion. If you aren't intelligent enough to follow the subltey of the plot and the masterclasses in acting and technical filmmaking, maybe you shouldn't comment at all. I wouldn't mind if you found a coherent flaw with the film, but like that of the critic, your comment is trivial and pointless.

Your name is spelled wrong, "Edd."

Technical filmmaking? This was a movie with so much potential, but it fell well short of the mark because of its inability to develop characters or plot. The fact that guys with misspelled first names like to drop misspelled words like "subltey" and then criticize the spelling of other commenters goes to show who this movie was aimed at: people who like to applaud movies no one enjoys so that they can seem more intelligent than the hoi polloi. It doesn't get more pretentious than that.

He is allowed to spell his name however he wishes too, Bradley. Stop being so pedantic and focus on debating the points he proposes.

Don't be a pompous and elitist twit, Edd J,sure the acting was great as it had most of Great Britain's top actors in it. Like Don C said, it required one's upmost attention as it meandered and flashbacked constantly. By the way since you were so busy being rude and condescending towards Don's intelligence and picking on his one error ,the spelling of halt as "hault," you misspelled subtlety as "subltey."

This is the kind of review we get to read from critics is it? What a load of rubbish... hardly intelligent critique is it!

If you went into this movie not prepared to fully knuckle your brain down and work on it, you're going to be disappointed. My friends and I invested our brainpower, and were blown away. We weren't bored once, and didn't notice two hours go by.

Why is person a film critic on here? His review really says nothing about the movie, but says loads about the critic.

I haven't read the novel and I got the plot. Perhaps you should be banned from cinemas or from taking a pen!

This was a great movie which exploited the source material brilliantly and deserved oscar for adapted screenplay. The fact that it was not nominated for best picture was ridiculous. I have no idea what Cut Print Review is but it needs to employ critics who can write a review which accurately defines the essence of the film, not highlight the inarticulacy of the reviewer.

good example on how to the movie industry destroys good stories. I belive the editing made this unwatchable, would be fun to see it re-edited. I've seen the BBC series, and at least got some extra value by watching this and also realise how good Alec Guinness was, must have been a gruelling task for mr. Oldman to walk in his shoes.
