Critic Review - McClatchy-Tribune News Service

I found the length tedious, some of the dialogue eye-rolling and some of the digital effects lacking (the digital ship's digital wake seemed puny) when "Titanic" first came out. But those quibbles fade with time.

Excellent review. Pretentious, self-important Titanic bashing is so tiresome, good to see someone who has given it up and just accepted this movie for what it is...a fun eye-popping good time at the movies.

I think people still expect far more from this film, than it could ever possibly deliver. Not even the greatest dialogue writer in Hollywood, mixed with Cameron's damn near perfect shot list, would make you people happy.
