Movie Info

A farmer discovers just how messy politics can be in this gruesome satire from filmmaker Carlos Moreno. Salvador (Alvaro Rodriguez) rises early one morning to tend to his fields and finds that someone has left a large pile of dead bodies on his property. Salvador is appalled and wants something done, so he calls the police. However, it happens to be Election Day, and the Mayor (Jorge Herrera) would prefer people not know this sort of violence is taking place in his town as they ponder re-electing him, so he orders the Chief of Police to ignore the farmer and keep the matter quiet. Salvador is determined to see something done, and he takes his story to the local press; it's also hard to keep a large pile of corpses secret on a hot day in Colombia, and like it or not, his neighbors soon know that more than a few people have lost their lives recently. Todos Tus Muertos (aka All Your Dead Ones) was screened in competition at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, where it was honored for its cinematography. ~ Mark Deming, Rovimore
