In its mingling of horniness and disgust, Tomcats attains a convoluted cleverness.

From the opening animated title sequence to the vulgarities at the film's climax, Gregory Poirer's directing debut is an obnoxiously funny comedy with a sharp romantic edge flowering beneath its T&A exterior. The plot surrounds a "kitty" (double entendre intended), created by a group of swinging pals determined to stave off marriage at all costs, with the cash headed towards whoever stays single the longest. Seven years later, only two of the friends remain single, and the pot is up to a half million in cash. When one of the two singles, Michael Delaney (Jerry O'Connell), runs afoul of the Las Vegas gambling mafia on account of a big-breasted babe, he needs that kitty cash desperately. Michael attempts to con his competitor, Kyle Brenner (Jake Busey), into marrying the wildly attractive policewoman Natalie (Shannon Elizabeth), who holds a personal vendetta against Kyle. But the best laid plans begin to run afoul when Natalie and Michael fall for each other instead. Filled with totally gross sex gags, pot shots at other films, and slapstick humor, TOMCATS is a humorous take on adult men who have not outgrown their adolescent mentalities about love, sex, and relationships. Reviews for Tomcats
Even if you enjoy 100 per cent leering, mean-spirited comedy, you won’t find much to like here.
There should be another word for 'stupid' to describe this drooling Neanderthal non-comedy.
Most of the jokes ... rely on the audience being as dumb as the movie is.
Full of manic comedy bits seemingly pilfered from the reject pile of the brothers Zucker and Farrelly.
What will come as a surprise ... is the astonishingly gross and thoroughly implausible lengths to which Poirier's script will go for a cheap laugh.
I have to admit I laughed so hard my sides literally ached and I had a coughing fit.
While some of its individual, gross out moments will probably be remembered, the film itself is too easily forgotten.
Offers only tired jokes, grimace-worthy physical comedy and bad, bad acting.
Poirier ... throws everything he can think of at the screen in this bawdy comedy ... in hopes that something will stick. Little of it does.
If you are not a 13-year-old boy, you're likely to feel several brain cells dying as you watch it.
Yet one more slice of American Pie-style outrageousness for and about guys with raging libidos and pinheads.
Raucously energetic and replete with a barrage of graphic sexual humor.
The only thing funny about this movie is how numbingly unfunny an hour and a half can be.
