TORONTO: Blog Day 1 -- "Barley," "Banquet," and the Opening Night Gala!
by Jen Yamato | September 08, 2006
Discuss Article
On Day One of the Toronto International Film Festival, the Tomatoes had an early day. We all started strong for the 9am screenings of "This Filthy World" (Jen), "The Wind That Shakes The Barley" (Tim), and "The Banquet" (Senh). Plus, the first (amazing) party of the fest!

The RT gang went full force Thursday, watching seven flicks and attending the extravagant Opening Night Gala in beautiful Toronto. Click here to read more about the films they watched (including "The Wind That Shakes The Barley," "The Host," "Climates," "This Filthy World," "The Banquet," "Jade Warrior" and "Kabul Express") and find out how the TIFF throws a party.

Okay, it really is nice that Toronto has such a major film festival but let's not get on as if it's the only city in the world that does by bombarding us with every little detail. Here’s a suggestion, unless something monumental or dramatic takes place during the festival, why not wait until it is over and then write us a nice report telling us what happened.
