Casting and visuals are an upgrade, but we get far too many action sequences and not enough of the mind games.
Boring and vanilla. Two things the original never was.

This movie was great if you went in for good special effects, top notch acting (Colin is a far better actor than Arnold, even though I like Arnie) and good action scenes.
The story was pretty bland but it was still a fun movie. I don't get all the hate, it's not a bad movie.

I have not seen this movie but it looks like an non-stop action packed thrilling ride.
I would like to see this movie once.

Agreed the last half hour was just exhausting from all the explosions and mindless action.

The first 30-40 minutes was intriguing and I thought I would like it. The visuals were stunning and I was impressed with futuristic city they created. However, it was one of the worst remakes I had ever seen. What happened to the mutants on Mars? They didn't even mention or go to Mars! I went in to the movie hoping to see Colin's character go to Mars (just like the original). The cast was NOT an upgrade. Sure, you can say Colin is a better actor but Arnold just gets it done. Pretty visuals but nothing else. Seen it once and not again. I give it a 2.5/10

Hi everyone, The 30% is about what I would expect from Len Wiseman and Kurt Wimmer.

I liked it, on par with the original which I loved seeing as a kid. Acting was way better in this one but the mind F#%$ wasn't there like in the original. I have to agree with some of the people here, no one could have done justice to Michael Ironside character. Gerard Butler might have gave it a run for it's money, maybe even Russel Crow.
