At the end it is clear that Farrell's character is Quaid. The tatoo is a token to remember real from illusion. Many people complain about the lack of mind games and too much action. This is a clue in the film because the fantasy goes well until Harry is called to rescue Quaid. After Quaid shoots Harry he rejects reality and the action continues. More action. Another critic is that he has nine lives. Since he is in his own mind he cannot die. It becomes really clear he is in ReKall when he goes hand to hand with a robot and wins. There are many clues like, his insecurity with his wife and the 007 book he reads. While it could have been shorter everything fits and this movie doesn't deserve this rating. One of the only real errors was the Fall. It should not pass through the core since GB and AUS aren't antipodes and the wouldn't be a gravity reversal period. They would lose gravity gradually and begin to spin slowly as their angle to the core increased.
