RT on DVD: A Matthew McConaughey Stinker or Event Horizon on Blu-ray?

3. The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget

Now here is controversial comedy at its finest: the art of the roast, practiced for years by the Hasty Puddings crowd until the masterminds at Comedy Central put the ploy to good use. After all, who doesn't love seeing celebrities (or better yet, comedians) suffer through jokes at their own expense? Saget takes it well, considering the line-up: Jeffrey Ross, Cloris Leachman, and even Uncle Jessie himself. While this roast didn't quite measure up to, say, the beating inflicted on poor little Flava Flav (or, as we call him, "Flava Flaaaaaaaaaaaaav!"), Norm MacDonald's bizarrely straight-laced bit is worth watching again.

Anything really worth buying would have been released before Christmas. Lets face it, most people don't have any money left. Anyone who got money for Christmas will probably save it or get those things they put on their Christmas list and didn't get. This will probably be a pretty dead week for DVDs even if they had some decent stuff coming out. Which is probably why they don't have anything decent coming out. Save it for another week where people might actually spend money.

What about Serenity and The Truman Show on Blu-ray? That's a much better duo than Event Horizon and Days of Thunder.

It's about time Surfer Dude came out, I've been waiting months for this masterpiece. I shall be first inline when my local DVD shop opens.

I actually did really like the Bob Saget Roast, but there are very few roasts that I would actually pay money for.

"What a crappy week for DVD's."

That's putting it mildly. Seriously, "Kyle XY", "Days of Thunder", "Nip/Tuck", and Bob Saget all suck. Saget was in "Full House" and AFHV", which are both popular, but horrible shows. This week should be filed as "ABSOLUTE SUCK!"

Yeah, this is a pretty sucky week for DVD's. The Bob Saget Roast was pretty funny, but I wouldn't pay money for it. Oh well, at least Pineapple Express comes out next week (about time).

I've never seen Days of Thunder so maybe it has some significance but what does Cole Trickle mean?

It seems to me that Event Horizon could have been a better movie if a better director and writer had control.
