I can understand the creators not wanting to sugarcoat life merely because the colors are brighter and voices chirpier, but why is Toy Story 3 so intent on being such a manipulative downer?
This guy is annoying. Why does he think that animated movies can't have any messages for adults in them. These are NOT kids' movies after all, they're family movies, which means they have something for everybody. He didn't only say it for Toy Story 3, but for How to Train Your Dragon and Tangled as well.
Has he never watched Pinocchio, or Beauty and the Beast? The Lion King? I guess those are too "dark" for kids too.
He came into this film viewing as a kid's movie only, and thus is bashing all the dark moments of the film. I'm sorry, but film critics need to judge the film on how GOOD they think it is, not whether it's to dark for the kiddies; and on a side note, all the little kids I know LOVED Toy Story 3.
