Legitimately? you're incorrect. Opinions can be wrong, for instance, if you say the sky is purple and its blue, your opinion? wrong. Also, appealing to a majority is stupid.
I'm a really big Transformers fan and I believe that this movie was crap compared to the G1 series. I mean, most of the Autobots characters are missing, and to tell the truth, John Anderson was right... Just after they figured that Sentinel Prime was a bad guy in the movie, the entire film just became a long and non-stop fighting movie. I can basically walked out of the theater just after Sentinel killed Ironhide, and will still know the main plot and story of Transformers DOTM.
Micheal Bay spent so much time and money on the action that he totally wasn't paying attention to the story very well... the story was good (don't get me wrong) but it felt as if M. Bay got lazy towards the end, and wanted to end the movie as soon as possible. (Meaning that M. Bay added nothing new to the story, and used the action scenes and explosions for an excuse... and for you guys, it seems to be working, unfortunately.)
He has his own opinion...ok...like I disagree I thought this entry into these series was EPIC. Some of it was overextended but still a fun ride. Also, I must add I DESPISED Revenge of the Fallen. I thought it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Someone gonna yell at me for my own opinion? Go ahead. But fortuantely, DOTM was a huge improvement for me.
This is a comment I can respect. In no way is he nasty or sinister towards the reviewer, he simply states he disagress and on rottentomaotes.com that is becoming an increasingly commendable trait. I personally think this move is atrocious (please don't accuse me of not having seen it, I attended a screening last week) but I'll never call a review "wrong" for praising it. Good on you Joseph for putting forth your comment in the most neutral way possible. In other words, being a civil person. What every comment on this site shoudld be like.
Your review was perfect. This is a horrible movie. Transformers needs to shut down. And if it ever gets a reboot it'll only need to be %20 as good as the Batman reboot to make the new version superior to Bay's royal mess.
Oh boy, another anti-Michael Bay cult member. Yeah, let's shut down a movie that's made 4 billion! Terrible movies don't do this kind of box office. You'd make a terrible studio executive.
This movie made so much money because it promised the best 3-D CGI you've ever seen and because of the undeserved hype. For a while I couldn't turn on my television without seeing the transformers in, like, every third commercial. It promoted itself as something far better than what it actually is, so people were naturally curious. You think people went to see this because of its thought-provoking and inspiring story? Yeah, I don't think so. Michael Bay had very little to do with the elements of the movie that drew in such a large crowd. The credit for that goes to the computer animators who sat behind their computers all day designing the transformers and the fight scenes. I'm not a member of the anti-Michael Bay cult, I just think he's talentless and takes all the credit for other peoples hard work. You want proof? Read the positive reviews for the movie. They're all the same. Basically: The movie sucked but it looked really cool. Michael Bay needs to quit directing and start making video games.
How utterly lofty of a review. I got the jist of your disdane and dislike, however it was presented in such a literary magnificence that the meat of the review was a bit over my head. I saw the movie with seven other people, none of which disliked the movie and although there was agreement that the movie felt too elongated, all had a good time. I sense that many of the opinions stated here are more about disapproving of Michael Bay rather than the actual movie which leaves me to be skeptical of the objectivity of it. I can see the tangible huge disparity between the critic tomato meter and that of the moviegoers.
I watched the film a few days ago and I loved it..great action scene, beautifully made blood scenes that were very detailed and an awe to see..solid soundtrack..quite a few really great quotes from the film plus Leonard was excellent as Sentinel Prime in Dark of the Moon..his vocal performance was one of the best things about the film..my only real problem with the film was the treatment of Megatron..I wish he was more fearsome in the final as he was in the last two but that choice was made by the screenwriter and I see where they were coming from..but its was a hell of a film..my favorite of the year so far.
I am the vast universe you are the sound of lunacy. Weren't you trolling round sucker punch trying to convince everyone that was the best movie ever? Now doing the same on transformers.
yo john, i cant disagree with character development, but the when it comes down to an action fest. this movie was one hell of an entertaining movie. ill be buying it on blu ray when it comes out
Thanks, i now know for certain that film "critics" mostly have their heads up their arses. I am going with the audience rating, this one was 90%, when i choose my next movie. This was the best of the series and well deserving of that audience rating. WTF did these critics expect??!!!
"dark of the moon ...
even the title make any sense"..it very much does makes sense..everytime we look at the sky, we see one side of the moon, never the back of it. therefore, the other side of the moon is "the dark of the moon"..learn your facts

Stepping you are going to make fun of someone else when you just hang around a page of a movie you didn't see or want too? You are a pathetic person.
