See Transformers 2 and G.I. Joe Toy Shots!
The New York Toy Fair is in full swing, and since toy-inspired films are one of Hollywood's favorite things right now -- second only perhaps to reboots -- you know this year's exhibits are rife with toy-to-movie tie-ins, including merchandise for two of the summer's most anticipated would-be blockbusters. We're talking, of course, about "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" -- and shots of both movies' toys have started to make their way onto the Internet.
Collider has pictures of both toy lines for you, in glorious full color, including shots of many of the new Transformers in both modes, and the new Joes in and out of their packaging. To get yourself an eyeful of all the shots -- including Ripcord, Breaker, Neo-Viper, Devastator, Demolishor, and (of course) Optimus Prime, follow the links below!

ZigBallistic writes: on Feb 16 2009 06:57 AM Ok, the toys thing is now approaching waterboard status, at least we have a trailer from GI JOE. By the time we see a trailer or new stills from Transformers, we will have already seen the toys from the next two movies. (Reply to this) |

Jacob B. writes: on Feb 16 2009 07:12 AM I think the toys are awesome except for the Dvevestator Vehicle Playset, and I'd like to see a Voyager class Devestator. That would be an awesome Transformers toy. (Reply to this) |

opTIMus Nerd writes: on Feb 16 2009 10:37 AM I smell failure when I see anything involved with G.I. Joe...You can see from the extensive toy development (playsets, large and small figures) that they are banking hard on this...Hopefully it'll pan out but I am highly doubtful. I also am stunned that they bothered with Shipwreck and even gave him the parrot...He was one of the characters that helped in converting Joe into the Village People back in the day. Transformers, on the other hand, looks like it will be insane. I cannot determine why I think Transformers somehow looks better than Joe?! (Reply to this) |

Ozzy K. writes: on Feb 16 2009 04:15 PM Before you wussies start jerking off to the "so-called" pics of these toys for the new Transformers movie, just stop and think for a second. Remember when the first movie came out? They released "concept" pics of the toys and we all wet ourselves. They were amazing...How could they possibly create such detailed transforming toys we asked? The reality, we soon found out was different: we ended up with the same blocky, bollocks toys we had 25 years ago. If the actual devastator and Optimus Prime toys they release looks anything like those pics, then I'll jerk off with the rest of you. But we all know that ain't going to happen. PS. Someone said Brad Pitt and George Clooney are actors. Are you serious? (Reply to this) |

jeanpaul writes: on Feb 18 2009 02:38 AM Wow. The "Transformers: ROTF" figures look great. I loved Sideswipe, Bumblebee (very detailed) and Optimus. But, they are all great looking, really. But, what's up with the Wolverine movie figures also seen on the site? They look awful. Reminiscent of the figures from the early 80's which lacked any good detailing and good artwork or articulation design. I did NOT enjoy THE DARK KNIGHT movie as much as some others... But the TDK figures upgraded to a whole new level of excellent design of the action figures of Superheroes (while TRANSFORMERS rules the in the department of excellent design in Robot-figures...) Also, the Gijoe figures look far LESS interesting than they ought to, in my opinion. I hope the movie excites me enough to want to have (and appreciate) the GiJoe figures. Wheater Transformers 2 is good or not (I loved the first "Transformers"!)-- I see that the figures are so good--- that I'll be wanting to buy them not withstanding however the Michael Bay's movie is!!
