This is almost as bad as there being no Optimus Prime ;).Actually genuinely dont know how to feel about this one. Her replacement is definitely going to face a lot of scrutiny thats for sure.
May 20 - 04:54 AM
thank you for quitting because I think the robots can act better than you.
May 20 - 04:59 AM
Don't Tase Me Bro
Millions of teenage boners have now gone limp...
May 20 - 05:07 AM
That pretty much sums it all up.
May 20 - 10:29 AM
I dunno, I think this 34 year old boner just went limp too. lol. Although I'm sure they'll be some other hot girl 'slow-mo' shots in TF3 that will suffice.
May 20 - 10:58 AM
Makes sense too, since the reason why "Jennifer's Body" flopped in the first place was because a great portion of Megan's fans weren't old enough to watch her on an R rated film!! But they can fantasize Megan on The Transformers films unless they can watch it on-line!!
May 20 - 11:37 AM
I just thought it was because it looked uninteresting. =)
May 20 - 07:23 PM
An enemy of Michael Bay is a friend of mine. I'm rooting for to start getting making good films, and not absolute trash like Transformers 2 and Jonah Hex. She's got potential to be an A-lister, but it all depends on her career choices.
May 20 - 05:15 AM
When will they learn, it's not about the humans. That's the biggest problem I have with Transformers; they spend way too much time following the humans. Give the robots some personality already damnit! Those are the characters we need to care about. Part 2 was recently on TV and I thought I'd finally give in and watch it, but I could barely make it through 15 minutes. Bay's style was just too damn overbearing and indulgent; I couldn't stand all the quick cuts. It seemed as if that was the reason the robots are so ridiculously detailed - so they can disorient the audience and distract them from the fact that they really aren't very good looking by CGI standards. I thought Terminator Salvation had better CGI robots. It also seemed like they were trying to introduce a bunch of new transformers, but they didn't serve any purpose aside from being fodder in the action scenes. One things for sure, Bay's got plenty of issues to deal with for part 3. Like, how is going offend people now that the niggabots have been given the axe as well? How about some crackabots: a couple of panzy robots that turn into toyota camries? Or maybe a Queerbot that turns into a Mazda Miata? A Pedobot that turns into a minivan? The possibilities are endless.
hahaha nice post my friend :)
May 20 - 07:38 AM
Nice post?Which part? The whole thing or just the "niggabots" term?Keep it classy Jay.
May 20 - 08:04 AM
to Jay:"niggabots"Nice racist terminology @$$hole! You wouldn't have got out of my neighborhood in one piece if you used any derivation on the N-word. I guess that's the luxury of anonymity on the internet.
May 20 - 08:00 AM
Um, it seems to me that he was using off-color terminology in order to point the inherant racism of the characters. Just sayin'
May 20 - 11:16 AM
Wow...you divined all that subtext from 'niggabots'? So...let me see if I can work this out: You're saying it's okay to use racist language--(BTW nice spin there buddy calling racist language 'off-colour')--when you're pointing out someone else's racism?ROFL! I mean I've heard of excuses before...but this is truly an example of hilarity! Just sayin'!
May 20 - 11:38 AM
Jay Sherman is black, he can use that word like we drink water.Even if he isn't, no holy rolling necessary.
May 20 - 12:04 PM
LOL. Holy rolling? Where in the hell did religion get mentioned? You can be atheist and still condemn racist language, you moron. And I don't care what color Jay is (looks cartoon pink to me), or who he's related to, using the N-word is out of line in any context.
May 20 - 01:48 PM
I didn't mention religion either, I said Holy Rolling. That's the same as moral policing. Whatever though. If you want to be mad its cool.
May 20 - 04:55 PM
I agree with Jays use of Niggabots, thats essentially what the characters were wasn't it? offensive black stereotypes, couldn't think of a better name myself.
May 20 - 03:29 PM
"offensive, black, stereotypes"Hey...look what you did there; you actually explained 'perfectly' what you meant to say. So, why would you need to use the N-word here? All you have to say is 'offensive, black, stereotype' in reference to the 'bots in the film and everyone would know who you were talking about. But no, you'd rather use the N-word. How imaginative. How classy.
May 20 - 06:06 PM
A) I didn't say it. I have nothing to make excuses for. For the record, not the wording I'd have personally chosen. B) The reason I used "off color" is because (as I once again wasn't the one who made the offending remark, in case you missed that) using "racist" would be name calling. I try to avoid name calling.C) Like I said, I would not have used that terminology myself, but in the context of "These characters are so racially insensitive Michael Bay may as well have just came out and called the 'Niggabots' (refrencing the standard Transforming toy-naming convention)" I don't find the terminology "racist." vulgar? offensive? Inappropriate? Probably.Appendix A) Now... if your trying to argue that ANY use of that particular term is racist that's a completely diffrent discussion. Now, myself personally, I chose not to use that word, and am not fond of it's usage by others (ANY others) but to call something RACIST regardless of intent is counter-productive. It's like that episode of South Park where Token won't stop calling Cartman fat, so Cartman hits Token with a rock, and the FBI charges Cartman with a hate crime. When you brand something racist based on a superficial standard even though no racism exists then your not actually doing anything about ACTUAL racism. You take it upon yourself to enforce an arbitrary standard of word etiqutte and people of diffrant races go right on hating each other and treating each other like crap, except they do it without saying "Niggabots" Congratufrickenlations.Appendix B) I haven't been on Rotten Tomatoes as much as I used to be so if Jay Shermen is Troll We Love to Hate Flavor of the Week‚?Ę I wouldn't know.
May 20 - 04:25 PM
Thank you Respiked, you are the only one that can appreciate the irony here. I'm using the word only to point out the duragotory portrayal of these characters. I'm calling Bay out, not black people. Of course the first thing that goes through these people's minds is, the N word is racist! And its at that point that their brains shut off. It's just a word people. Grow up. It only carries that weight if you allow it. And by doing so, you empower the people who use it. It just makes me laugh because I bet most of the one's critisizing me buy albums or listen to music from artist who use the word explicitly - I don't. And frankly, that is more offensive if you ask me.The whole reason I became aware of that term was through my brother in law, who is black. If he saw this conversation, he'd be laughing at all you honkeys. I know I am.
May 20 - 01:09 PM
"Of course the first thing that goes through these people's minds is, the N word is racist! And its at that point that their brains shut off. It's just a word people. Grow up. It only carries that weight if you allow it. And by doing so, you empower the people who use it."Exhibit A in the case for delusion...Jay, you douchebag, you crack me up. You've managed to try and spin this in your favor? So you're saying THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS RACIST LANGUAGE!?!? Hate speech? File that under Santa Claus and Unicorns, yes? Your Spin Fu is impressive. Your use of the N-word, still racist pal. Nice try.
May 20 - 01:43 PM
Ya'know something, it's funny, I also used such equally offensive words such as 'Cracker' and 'Queer' yet I don't see any of you complaining about that. I would think that it is obvious by the tone of my remarks that I'm not being serious, but I used the one word you're never supposed to use so automatically I'm written off. It's kinda ridiculous.
May 20 - 02:08 PM
Yeah and it's kinda ridiculous that you thought you needed to use that word in the first place Jay.(And come on, now you're just being silly: 'Queer' and 'Cracker' don't even begin to come close to the N-word Jay; hell, you DO remember a not-so-subtly-titled hit show called 'QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY' and the American rock-country-rap musician Uncle Kracker, yes?) You're really reaching now dude...
May 20 - 02:31 PM
I'm white and I was offended by all of them. Just kidding. Isn't it okay to use all the racist/sexist/orientation terms except that one?
May 20 - 07:28 PM
No need to explain or apologize. Humor of any type more advanced than the toilet variety is generally misinterpreted or goes unnoticed around here, especially sarcasm.
May 20 - 08:30 PM
I'm not jumping on any bandwagon here on either side, but I just wanted to make this point about your comment..."Cracker" is a derogatory term, but it doesn't have generations of oppressive hate behind it like the N word. That is a word that many would hear as they were being hung from a tree. Cracker just doesn't have the racial sting. As for Queer, I do find that offensive, but gay men and women have "reclaimed" that term and made it their own, so who I am I to judge?Just wanted to point out that not all words are created equal.
May 23 - 10:42 AM
While it is racist to say what he said until blacks stop saying the word it will never go away, it is hypocritical for blacks to say the word yet no one else, the word needs to die.
May 20 - 11:51 AM
I totally agree- the word needs to die no matter where it's coming from!!
May 20 - 12:02 PM
Thank you Dave, it sure does. Why people are arguing for it is pretty childish.
May 21 - 12:34 AM
"And besides, saying I can't criticize Bay because I haven't made a successful movie is like saying I can't call the Detroit Lions a bad team because I've never won the Super Bowl"Or saying one cannot say cancer is bad until one has had it. It's a childish, desperate, and immature argument.
May 23 - 10:48 AM
What an ass. Clean-up your biggoted mouth or keep it shut.
May 20 - 09:40 AM
Wow, talk about some hyper-sensitive internet junkies. This is where they pick their battles: fighting for political correctness on the blogospere. Truly heroic.Unlike you and some others who cannot decipher irony when reading the word "niggabots," other reasonable people can see he was using the term to point out how *****ing racist Micheal Bay and Transformers 2 were for using not-so-subtle racial caricatures disguised as robots in the first place. You're trying to pick a fight with someone who's on your side of the racial battle. Why don't you dedicate your passion for solving racial injustice by volunteering or donating money to the United Negro College Fund. Then again, you're probably too offended by the word "Negro" to do that.
May 20 - 03:42 PM
Good post Big Freeze. It is so true.
May 20 - 06:24 PM
2 Big Freeze:Yeah...figures a 'white' guy like yourself self-appoints himself the arbiter of what's racially sensitive for black people on the forum and what isn't. And...let me get this straight...everyone who is offended by Jay's poor choice of a long-held racially insensitive term is...unreasonable and incapable of deciphering irony? WTF?Why don't you donate your $$$ to the UNCF, or are you saving up for your season tickets for the Utah Jazz?
May 21 - 12:14 AM
Jay Sherman's always been a jackass...Now he's a racist jackass.Hey Jay, shove it you racist douchebag!
May 20 - 10:45 AM
The term he used was actually pretty widely spread on the internet as a definition of these 2 characters. It was coined because they were written as every bad stereotype of black people you could think of. He did not make it up to piss u off so settle down. Personally I'm more offended by the movie Liam Neeson was in on ur profile pic
May 20 - 09:41 PM
This is true, it has been widely used. But the widespread use of 'niggabots' shouldn't make the term appropriate in all contexts, ironic or otherwise.I'm black. The term bothers me. It would appear I'm not the only one who is bothered by the term either, regardless of my color. Jay used an inappropriate word to make a ironic point. I get it. Arguing for the term's appropriateness is ridiculous; if it's offensive to a lot of people, then move on and use less-ofesnsive terms please. That seems simple enough. Why is this discussion still happening? Is the term too-endearing?
May 21 - 12:21 AM
It's not that people want to keep the word or whether or not it's endeering. The thing here is we've gotten into a debate over language on the internet. Therefore it will go on forever.
May 21 - 05:56 PM
"One things for sure, Bay's got plenty of issues to deal with for part 3. Like, how is going offend people now that the niggabots have been given the axe as well."PHUK YOU JAY! I used to respect some of your posts, but you're either mentally handicapped, or a closet bigot. Either way, you need to STFU or apologize; no excuse whatsoever for using racist terms on RT you bastard.
May 20 - 10:56 AM
It's just a really "bad" joke, don't really think it was intended to offend anyone for all that was needed was some correctin'- that's all!! I've seen the "racist" term or analogy used before on the Transformers 2 but nobody said nothin'!!
How did we get from Megan Fox being out of Transformers 3 to criticism on racial slurs. Jay, Try to stay away from racial slurs in any of your posts. I know it was just a joke but we have seen the criticism it has caused.Don't Tase Me Bro and RELEASE THE CRAKEN (don't mean to call you out, you two have just posted the most on Jay Sherman's original post) and others, I agree the use of theat word is inappropriate but it was just a bad joke. Let's wipe the slate clean, start anew. Let's get back to the original post and how Transformers 3 might be better without Megan Fox in the picture.
May 20 - 06:22 PM
Agreed Derek. The word is inappropriate, Jay's use use of it doesn't make him racist people; and yes, we should move on. Arguing for the word's appropriateness is, well, ridiculous and disturbing...The forum's still about Megan 'Thumbalina' Fox, right?
May 21 - 12:40 AM
May 21 - 11:45 AM
haha "niggabots" =)
May 20 - 02:38 PM
Thank god I don't live in america. You guys are wY to sensitive, that is why your country has problems. In Mexico I always call my friend "Negro" which means black in Spanish nobody ever never gets mad we all have nicknames based on our appearance or attitude. The day you stop censoring is the day you will all be equals.A humble opinion from happy Beaner wetback ese Mexican friend to my gringos from north.: ) life is soo stupid, rather laugh than cry and fight.

May 21 - 05:45 AM
A mexican wet-robot?that one has potential
May 21 - 10:45 AM
Transformers 2 was god awful- hopefully Bay gets his act together this time around.
May 20 - 05:19 AM
How about no human characters at all. Then I might actually go see the third movie.
May 20 - 05:30 AM
I am happy to see that I‚??m not the only one who thinks the Transformer movies don‚??t need humans at all. Think of all the time wasted on Sams parents and nonsense like that. ‚??shakes head‚??
May 20 - 05:38 AM
Didn't Bruce Willis say he would never work with Michael Bay again (after filming "Armageddon") because he thought Bay was a mean dude, and people (ie the crew) should never be talked to like the way he treated them, or something to that effect?
May 20 - 05:55 AM
Fox wasn't the best nor the worst part of TF2 but after her Hitler comments about Bay I'm not surprised to see her gone. Here's hoping that Bay makes a third movie that's not as trashy as the previous one.
May 20 - 06:01 AM
Thats pretty shocking. He pulled this girl from obscurity and made her a huge sex symbol. She should have kept her mouth shut. Everyone has a ****ty boss--but not every boss pays their worker millions. C'est la vie.
May 20 - 06:22 AM
Obscurity? Are you serious?
May 20 - 07:34 AM
yeah, Im serious. What had she been in before? Some low rent crap that no one ever saw. Then to working on one of the biggest franchises in history.
May 20 - 10:07 AM
Megan Fox first starring role was on the Olsen twins straight to rental video called 'Holiday in the Sun'with the Olsen twins- then she was in a tv show called Ocean Ave from episodes 141- 145. Bad Boys II (a Michael Bay film) was her first actual movie appearance for a big bugeted film before starring in "The Transformers" films!! Yep fresh f!! According to imbd - her first big break indeed was with Michael Bay !!
May 20 - 10:51 AM
I think people are forgetting the purpose of having the human characters in the Transformers movies. They serve as a way of explaining the back-story for newcomers of Transformers. If you don't have someone completely clueless to what's going on and have things explained to them then the audience is clueless too. If we don't have a character like Sam then we would just have a bunch of robots shooting at each other with no motive. I'd hate to say it, but then it would be even more shallower than any previous Bay movie.
May 20 - 06:26 AM
You do realize the robots can talk don't you? I would argue that SOME human characters were necessary to provide an outsider's view to the robots, but the second film certainly didn't need the parents or the comic relief roomie... or even Megan Fox for that matter. The article said it best: She'll just be replaced with some other vapid sexpot.
May 20 - 10:01 AM
The whole parents and college arc was just plain Bay movie silliness. I am not defending that in any way. I'm just trying to argue that its not totally necessary to completely get rid of the humans in a Transformers story. I mean it IS taking place on Earth after all, so I think its sort of their business to get involved. I'm just saying that if people are arguing for an all-robot slugfest, then wouldn't that be really self-indulgent? Unless you do a movie that takes place entirely in Cybertron or something, getting rid of all the human characters would be an odd move.
May 20 - 07:31 PM
Human characters may facilitate exposition, but we're going on the third installment. By this point, how much more needs to be explained? It's not like they are throwing out a difficult and dense mythology.
May 20 - 12:06 PM
I'll go out on a limb and say Megan Fox in fact WAS the best part of the 2nd movie. Besides the base level of her being easy on the eyes, her reading of the character's lines was so very entertaining! Lines that seemed like they should be heartfelt were callous (the strange banter with the Beef at the beginning of the film.) Lines that should have been menacing were done with a sweet tone (the torture of the small robot with a torch resulting in her BURNING OUT ONE OF HIS EYES!)Or was it that her character was supposed to be a sociopath?
May 20 - 06:37 AM
So the best part of the movie was Meghan Fox saying "I'm breaking up you. Wait, ok I'm not breaking up with you" over and over again?
May 20 - 04:32 PM
Who isn't seeing Transformers 3? raise your hand.*Raises hand*
May 20 - 06:38 AM
It depends on the hottie who will replace Megan Fox. But still no way I pay to see it.
May 20 - 07:41 AM
I'm hoping for Amanda Seyfried, she's my new inappropriately aged crush.
May 21 - 05:14 AM
But the game coming out in the summer looks real good. I know the 2nd one was such trash but they were a big part of my childhood in the 80's it's sad to say that I will see the 3rd one and the 4th and so on and so on
May 20 - 06:57 AM
good megan fox is out, now all we need is to throw michael bay out the window and the film might have a fighting chance
May 20 - 08:25 AM
haha, you cats are HILARIOUS. Megan Fox...an A lister?? thats funny as h3ll dude. who else is an A lister in your book, Kim Kardasian? i love all the hate though, its funny. you either paid to see it and are too hypocritical to admit it...or you're mentally retarded and continue to watch something you hate. and if you take Bay out of Transformers...it won't gross half as much. accept it people. either get over it or continue to raise your blood pressure for no reason. i'm not sure why, maybe a 3rd HUGELY SUCCESSFUL movie will prove to you the formula works. if you hate Bay SO much, make your own movie and see how well you do. c'mon...
May 20 - 09:12 AM
~if you hate Bay SO much, make your own movie and see how well you do. c'mon...~People like Neil Blomkamp, Matthew Vaughan and Joss Whedon have made great movies on one fifth of the budget Bay gets, even less than that in some cases. Give me a $30 million budget and someone who can write a good script and I'd make a movie that's 10x better than TF2. But that won't happen, because it's just not realistic. And besides, saying I can't criticize Bay because I haven't made a successful movie is like saying I can't call the Detroit Lions a bad team because I've never won the Super Bowl.~i love all the hate though, its funny. you either paid to see it and are too hypocritical to admit it...or you're mentally retarded and continue to watch something you hate.~ This is actually what's hilarious. Nobody on this thread has said they watched the movie more than once, so the second part is wrong. The first part is just stupid. What do you want us to do? Do you want us to say "I paid to see this movie in the theaters, and..." before we make our points? That should kinda go without saying.~if you take Bay out of Transformers...it won't gross half as much~Seriously? Let me give you an example to show you how ridiculous this statement is. Kick J.J. Abrams off the Star Trek sequel. Think that will knock off half the theatrical gross of the film? Of course it won't. Because it's freakin' STAR TREK.Transformers is the same way. It's a bankable franchise, like Spider-Man, Batman, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. The director is almost completely irrelevant to the film's financial success. In fact, I bet if you kicked Bay off of Transformers 3 and put Peter Jackson in the director's chair it would make even more money than TF2. And it might actually be really good.Your blind devotion to Bay and this franchise is truly stunning. Keep up the good work, I'm sure Bay appreciates it.
May 20 - 10:25 AM
Hey there, hater!I've seen T2 about 5 or 6 times, and I like it a lot! I know somebody who liked it more than TF1! The entire world does not hate TF2. It's just a movie that's easy to hate because MOST PEOPLE CAN'T TAKE THE PACE! People don't want fast-paced, in-depth action. They want simple, slow-paced sword-bonking. Also, people gripe about lack of character or story in the movie. Well, what the hell do you think the trip to space by Megatron was? It added depth to the characters and story but everyone hates it. There was plenty of hilarious comedy in it, and all anyone can do is gripe about the parents who were a lot of fun.90% of the complaints I read about TF2 are just empty attempts at b*tching. No one gives any good reason why they hate the movie. They're all a bunch of whiners. Michael Bay is tough to watch, because he's fast and likes some goofy humor. Is that why people hate him? No, they hate him just so they can hate somebody, because they can't take the pace. They're all wimps. Bay is no Spielberg, but he's a hell of a lot better than all the wimpy whiners say he is.If you're going to hate a movie, ask yourself "Is hating it really how I feel about it? Maybe I was just disappointed. What did it ever do to me?" And saying it took your money and times does NOT count. You chose to give those things to the movie. It did not take them.
May 20 - 10:46 AM
Here is why I HATE TF2. I saw it in IMAX on opening day and haven't seen it since. Bay moves the camera's too fast, his whole spinning around Shia and Fox was nauseating and the action scenes were cut to fast you can't even tell what's going on. They bring in at least 30 different decepticons that are all killed very simply and by human weapons. Meanwhile Megatron is fighting 3 bad guys while everyone just sits by and watches. Stereotypes: Racist autobots, every college kid is gorgeous, parents eating magic brownies, douchebags wear pink t-shirts. I could literally make a list that consumes this entire page. To break it down, the editing was awful (too fast and quick), the plot was incoherent and terrible. I like Bay, I have enjoyed almost all of his movies because they are fun. This movie was not fun. It was awful.
May 20 - 11:03 AM
Now that's a critique I can take. You didn't just flat-out bash the movie. A little blunt at the end, but you didn't just bad-mouth someone you've never met. I hate hearing Michael Bay insults. And I'm also tired of hearing claims that there were racist Autbots. Bay was shooting for a humorous stereotype, not insulting African-Americans. Giving them any kind of accent suddenly makes them racist. If they talked with an Irish accent people would have complained. Stereotypes are dangerous things nowadays. Look how many stereotypes Lucas used in the prequels. There were complaints about those sterotypes, but IMO, they were unjustified. For the record, I think TF2 has weaknesses, no doubt, but it's watchable, unlike 99% of horror movies in existence. THOSE are bad movies. But that's for another forum thread.
May 20 - 01:50 PM
Sorry for being blunt at the end. I am at work and my boss was yelling at me haha. You could tell that they were being stereotyped by the "gold teeth" and "nah we don't read" attitudes they had going about. It wasn't that they were so racist but more along the lines of annoying and unnecessary. The only purpose they served in the film was to be the comic relief but more people found them offensive rather than funny. Like I said before, I like Bay, a lot actually. I have enjoyed all of his films (with the exception of TF2 and non-action parts of Pearl Harbor.) I think the man knows how to make an action/summer blockbuster movie. He just had an unlimited budget and wanted to go bigger, louder, and more insane with this movie. The problem was he went over the top on all 3 counts and it turned into a muddled mess. I don't find the movie watchable again because of the poor storytelling, dizzying editing, and laughable dialogue it doesn't deserve another 2 1/2 hours of my attention.
May 20 - 02:29 PM
Not saying I liked the movie or that your points are wrong, but what movie that has kids in high school or college doesn't put in pretty people? Usually they're all 30 too.
May 20 - 07:35 PM
I'm not a Bay basher either Sputnik. I don't get the vitriol for him either. Plus, Speilberg is producer on both TF1 and TF2... People tend to forget that part.
May 20 - 11:04 AM
~Speilberg is producer on both TF1 and TF2... People tend to forget that part.~So? James Cameron was a producer on Point Break, but would you really call Point Break a James Cameron film? Didn't think so.
May 20 - 02:14 PM
Point Break was better than Avatar. lol
May 20 - 02:56 PM
No. No it was not.
May 20 - 08:05 PM
Haha.... good one. (I'm easily amused by hyperbolic opinions)
May 23 - 10:57 AM
Okay, in the interest of full disclosure, let me get this out there so gimy doesn't jump on me. I waited for TF2 to come out on TV and watched the first 90 minutes of it earlier this week. It was so late that I decided to go to bed with an hour left. I'll catch the last hour some time soon. Because I haven't seen the whole thing, I haven't posted an actual rating/review on my profile. Now that that's out of the way...~MOST PEOPLE CAN'T TAKE THE PACE! People don't want fast-paced, in-depth action. They want simple, slow-paced sword-bonking.~Back in the 50s, that would have been true. But now? No way. My problems with TF2 are just the opposite. I LOVED most of the action I saw, particularly every scene where Optimus was on the screen. My problem was with everything else, which brings me to...~There was plenty of hilarious comedy in it, and all anyone can do is gripe about the parents who were a lot of fun.~You say "hilarious", I say "cringe worthy". I found most of his attempts at humor to be rather obnoxious. The parents annoyed me, and I wanted to reach through the TV screen and repeatedly throat-punch the roommates Sam has. Why do we have to cut away from the action in Sam's house for a 2-second shot of the boning dogs? Better yet, why are there dogs at all? It isn't funny, it's pointless. The jive-talking robots were stupid. And I didn't even get to the "robot with balls" scene, which is one of the most universally reviled scenes in the movie, or the ending sequence described above. Every time the action started to create some positive momentum, Bay threw in a "joke" that killed it.And who are you to tell people why they "hate" TF2 and Michael Bay? What, are you psychic or something? That's like that one @$$clown that flat-out told me that I only liked The Dark Knight because Heath Ledger died. It's a glaring fallacy, so just stop doing it. People (including me) "hate" TF2 because it wasn't a good movie. And we "hate" Bay because he isn't a very talented director. By the way, I don't think most of us "hate" the film or Bay. We wish the film was better, and that Bay's projects were in the hands of a better director. The directors I mentioned in my first post (Blomkamp, Vaughan, Whedon, and Jackson) have all made movies with good fast-paced action, spectacular visual effects, and humor that I actually enjoyed. (District 9, Kick-Ass, Serenity, and LOTR, respectively.) And the first three did those projects with miniscule budgets compared to what Bay had for TF2.~Bay was shooting for a humorous stereotype, not insulting African-Americans~Well, it didn't work. Also, if he wasn't insulting anybody, explain the "Naw, we don't read much" line to me.~it's watchable, unlike 99% of horror movies in existence. THOSE are bad movies.~I think we may have found some common ground here. We should try and do that more often.

Clarification: District 9 didn't have much in the humor department. My mistake to put it in that category. But it's still better than TF2 by a long shot.

I b*tch about haters because I have never seen a movie more complained about than TF2. And a good deal of the complaints are simply "I hate Michael Bay so of course all his movies have to suck, too." I heartily disagree with most complaints, but have tried to make clear that I don't think the movie is a masterpiece, just pretty good. It's just like with Spiderman 3: the movie is not that bad, but everyone wants to spit out the best insult so they'll sound cool. I hate empty hatred. (Quote that, if you want.) If people want to dislike a movie, fine, but show a little respect. Rude disrespect is easy, and it's also really damn stupid.

Unless they get Daniel Day freakin' Lewis in the third movie, I could care less about it. Fox not being in it means one of two things: either she is a real ***** and was fired; or read the script and realized it sucked so much ass that she did not even want to be in it, so she bailed.

I'm leaning towards the latter. This movie is being fast-tracked to capitalize on the franchise's bankability. Unless they swapped writers and convinced Bay to give up some creative control over the script (unlikely), this movie is gonna be horrible.

For what it's worth I read somewhere that John Malkovic had signed up to transformers 3 (seriously).Saw the first one and thought it was brilliant blockbuster fodder, rented the second and can't say i cared for it.Don't give a f**k about Fox.
