Critic Review - New York Times

Tropic Thunder is a flashy, nasty, on-and-off funny and assaultive sendup of the film industry.

The film industry needs an assaultive sendup. I guess we are all not "in-on" the joke. This scares me. If you think Hollywood is making thoughtful, intelligent films, you should not be writing for such a legitimate media outlet. This movie was very funny and very smart. Tom Cruise was brilliant and RDJ - well great. comedy is all about editing and this film was right on - -fast paced and well-conceived. Kudos Ben Stiller!

Expand your horizons and don't take yourself so seriously. Believe me, I am no fan of "Dumb and Dumber" brand humor... this was heads above...
