Audience Reviews for Turks in Space (Dunyayi kurtaran adamin oglu)

Turks in Space falls in the "it's so bad it is good". Well it isn't really good but it does score an extra point for being laughable. Turks in Space suffers from almost everything a movie can do wrong but it does them so wrong that it actually works to its benefit. While it was hard to see if Kartal Tibet was trying to take his film serious or was just trying to spoof sci-fi films of the past Turks from Space fails at both so there is really no reason to debate which Tibet was shooting for. Turks from Space is bad but isn't the worst thing ever.

It may be the worst movie that has been filmed since the camera was invented. Extremely poor GCI, embarrassingly bad acting that tries to satirize the science fiction movies and inevitably fails and the scenario which is full of gibberish dialogues and ridiculous fight scenes. However, the worst fact is that this movie tries to integrate the Turkish culture with the main subject of classic Hollywood movies (science fiction and space opera in this movie) to make humourous movies. They usually fail in many genres(there are a few expections). Many ridiculos spy comedies, really bad action films and apalling adventure movies are results of these, unfortunately. I would not reccomend you to see this movie unless you are deathproof.

Note: This movie is a sequel to '80s Turkish movie Turks in Space (Dünyayı Kurtaran Adamın Oğlu, which may be translated exactly as The Man Who Saves the World). The first movie is a cult classic because of its daftness which is caused from the low budget. The movies which I am writing this review for also tries to be a parody of the first film and fails again. This sequel will never be a cult classic as the first film.
