New Episodes Tonight:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Season 1 88%

Led by the surprisingly effective pairing of Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a charming, intelligently written take on the cop show format, according to the critics. On tonight's episode, Jake (Samberg) is out for vengeance when another detective butts in on a case he's investigating. More

Chicago Fire S2 - NBC ——

In this drama's second season, it appears that budget cuts may pose as much a threat to the men and women of Firehouse 51 as a three-alarm fire. On tonight's show, Severide (Taylor Kinney) thinks he has enough proof to nail an arson suspect. More

Dads: Season 1 0%

Critics call Dads a near-total disaster, saying that it makes the fatal mistake of believing its racist gags can lend an edge to its aggressively predictable writing and unlikable characters. Tonight, Warner (Giovanni Ribisi) hires a new office assistant. More

The Goldbergs - ABC 55%

The pundits say The Goldbergs is at times too reliant on gimmicky references to 1980s pop culture, but it's also sweet, sincere, and occasionally very funny. Tonight, an unearthed trove of love letters help to explain Pops' (George Segal) marriage. More

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - ABC 86%

Critics say Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is sure to please comic book fans, but the strong ensemble and brisk pacing help to make this better-than-average superhero show accessible to non-fanboys as well. On tonight's episode, S.H.I.E.L.D. is on the trail of a mysterious woman who has undertaken a series of perilous capers. More

The Mindy Project: Season 2 80%

The second season of The Mindy Project is getting strong notices for Kaling's strong, eccentric writing. Tonight, Mindy tries to see if opposites attract when she goes on a date with a free-spirited skateboard enthusiast (Timothy Olyphant). More

New Girl: Season 3 93%

The critics remain pleased with New Girl, now in its third season. In tonight's episode, Nick (Jake M. Johnson) inherits a large sum of money, which Jess (Zooey Deschanel) believes would be best spent on his unpaid bills. More

NCIS S11 - CBS ——

One of CBS' most reliable hits, NCIS is back for an 11th season. In tonight's episode, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and McGee (Sean Murray) travel to Afghanistan to investigate the killing of a woman who disguised herself as a soldier. More

NCIS: LA S5 - CBS ——

The NCIS formula has proven to be so successful that its spinoff is on its fifth season. This time out, Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) investigate the kidnapping of a man who claims to be Callen's father. More

The Originals: Season 1 56%

The critcs say The Originals may overwhelm casual viewers with its myriad twists and bevy of supernatural beings, but this is a sleek, atmospheric Vampire Diaries spinoff with potential. Tonight, Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) atempt to undermine Marcel's rule over New Orleans. More

Person of Interest S3 - CBS 100%

Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson star in this police procedural -- now in its fifth season -- about a pair of lawmen who take preventative measures to stopping crime. More

Sons of Anarchy - FX 78%

Critics say Sons of Anarchy continues to deliver an energetic blend of bracing action sequences, pitch black humor, and heartless violence. Tonight, the gang members confront their pasts. More

Supernatural: Season 9 88%

The demon-hunting Winchester brothers continue their quest to fight evil wherever they find it. On tonight's episode, Dean (Jensen Ackles) abducts Crowley (Mark Sheppard), hoping he'll be able to tell him where the demons are lurking. More

Trophy Wife - ABC 73%

Critics say that charm, likeable characters, good chemistry, and an efficient pace help to make Trophy Wife a sly, insightful sitcom. Tonight, Kate (Malin Akerman) and Pete (Bradley Whitford) let Meg (Natalie Morales) move in after a breakup. More

I actually like Agents, it's just plain fun. As for B99, I just can't stand Andy Samberg.
