Essentially, a CW take on Anne Rice, catering to the gooey-eyed fans of Meyer's novels and their unrealistic romantic expectations.
"Maybe I%u2019m giving away my age or my gender or the fact I haven%u2019t read a single word that Stephenie Meyer has ever written either intentionally or by accident, so going to see this movie without any advance knowledge, even avoiding all trailers and clips, might not have been the best way to see it."
wow...well duh dumbass. Maybe you should have done some research. This movie is amazing and pleases it's FANS. Just like a good movie based off a book should.

While it would have been good of him to do some research beforehand as should be done with ALL movies, the fact that this movie pleases the fans does not make it a good movie. The fans have read the books, know what to expect, know how the story plays out, and know what is missing from the book form so they fill it in themselves. A TRULY good movie based on a book should appear just as good to those who haven't read the book.

Um... Lauren, the whole point of a franchise is that the movie makes money from people who have never read the book so that they will not only want to read said books, but also want to see more movies. If the movie fails to do either of those, then there is no point to continue the franchise. His Dark Materials had a HUGE fan following, but the movie sucked. So, there are no more movies and are just for fans to enjoy. Even I LOVE HDM, but the movie, it was not good.
