Critic Review - At the Movies

I think this film is definitely a victim of it's own expectations.

'Its' is the possessive you're looking for. 'It's' is the contraction for 'it is'. This posting was a victim of its own poor grammer.

While I would normally be the first to point out the mistake, someone who can't even spell "grammar" beat me to it. They were closely followed by someone who cannot conjure up an appropriate spelling for "apparently," and also fails to split their thoughts into correct sentences. Really, Chris C., there's this phrase about people who live in glass houses...

I am a huge fan of the books, these performances were horrific. This is not the Bella and Edward from the books. This movie killed everything that was special about this story and made it cheesy

Seriously Arisu and Chris, what is wrong with you? I don't think the the point of this review is a grammar lesson. Oh great, it looks like you didn't fail 7th grade English class. Do you just need an ego booster? Can you say pathetic? Get off your high horse, because you're not making anybody look inferior but yourselves.

Anyways, back to the review. I agree. I think people who loved the book set themselves up to be let down. I'm praying that the second movie will be better then this one. This movie was just enough to keep the true fans satisfied. Let's be honest. This film was just an excuse for teenage girls to go ga-ga over Robert Pattinson. I've never been to a movie premier with so many screaming girls.

You're absolutely right: people who write for a living shouldn't actually be able to write. This has been obvious from the start of the written medium, after all. I still curse e.e. cummings! What you fail to realize, though, is that there's a special bit of irony to someone criticizing (as Chris C. did) someone else's English skills, then making a rather basic error of their own.

The movie isn't much to write about, hence I didn't. It's more mind-rotting vomit punctuated with glitter and metrosexuals.

I refuse to waste my money and go and watch this film. The only reason I would of even thought of going was because the Harry Potter 6 Trailer is in the previews. Whoo! Can not wait till July 17th!

Could not agree more.. too difficult to make the movie work with this much attention to the books!! Need more time, better direction, and some better characters..

Completely agree. The books were fun, though i'm by no means a fangirl of the series, but the movies were just so over pretentious....
