15 Minutes of Twilight Footage Screened in Rome
Can you resist the temptation to watch these all new scenes??

Those lucky Italians. At one of two sold-out presentations at the Rome Film Festival, hungry Twilight fans were treated to 15 minutes of footage from the upcoming vampire romance starring soon-to-be-superstars Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson, and full scene descriptions have now made their way online.

Twilight is only three weeks away from becoming the smash hit of the season (Fandango reports presales of Twilight comprise 43% of all ticket sales, and the film doesn't open until November 21). Much of this anticipation comes from the legions of Twilight fans -- called Twilighters, or even Twi-hards -- who've fallen in love with author Stephenie Meyer's four-book series about a tragic romance between a teenage girl and a vampire.

Based on Meyer's first book, Twilight introduces high school student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), newly relocated to the rainy town of Forks, Washington, as she meets and falls in love with a dangerously attractive boy named Edward Cullen. The only complication? Edward happens to be a 108-year-old vampire trapped in the body of a teenager.

Italian outlet Bad Taste was present among hundreds of screaming fans in Rome, and have posted detailed recaps of the two scenes shown, a third behind-the-scenes clip, and the cast and filmmaker Q&A that followed. While one of the two clips was the previously-released ballet studio fight, another 8-minute scene made its worldwide debut. In the scene, Edward brings Bella home to meet his family, a coven of "vegetarian" vampires who abstain from their natural impulses to live, undetected, among humans. He gives Bella a tour of the Cullen house, ending up in his bedroom, where he launches himself from a window into the neighboring forests to demonstrate his superhuman vampire skills. The scene ends with Edward at his piano, playing the long-anticipated "Bella's Lullaby" (written by composer Carter Burwell.) Click here to read more from Bad Taste.

It's actually Forks, Washington, not Oregon. Movie looks better then the book. The book was very boring.

So Edward us 108 years old and he is going out with a 17 year old, wow sounds real promising Jen! The more and more I hear about these books the more stupid they sound. So since Edward is like Michael Jackson with the whole kids thing and being pale as a ghost, will he end the movie with a song and dance?

I think this book appeals more to the gender of the fairer persuasion i.e., Vampire Chick-lit.

You'd think the editors at Entertainment Weekly produced this flick with all the hype they've been giving it, pretty annoying actually. I guarantee that no matter how average it is, they'll give it the highest grade too.

The reviewers at EW I think have bad taste in movies.

A "tragic" romance?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

NOTHING bad ever happens to those two in the book! They never have any conflicts, nothing! Hell, Bella gives birth to a PERFECT, fast-growing half-vampire baby goddess, and in that same book, the so-called "conflict" with the "evil" vampires was ended via a blatant Deus Ex Machina!

Really, who are they trying to kid?

Twilight is to pre-pubesent girl's what Watchmen is to men who love graphic novel's.

When someone first told me to read these books and told me what they were about I said ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am 21 years old and they sounded like the stupidest books anyone had asked me to read before.
On a rainy Sunday with nothing to do I said heck with it and read the whole damn thing cover to cover in one day.
This is definitely a "don't judge a book by its cover" type of situation.
Don't knock it 'til you see and/or read it, seriously.

I read and like the books very much and whole heartily agree with this.

All the main players after the saga were still breathing (but not necessarily needing to)and thats very uncommon.

Dumbledore took a bullet in HP, why couldn't Carlise in this series?

Seriously if this movie is actually a hit and can spawn 2 more sequels and a closer, then the writers should just say F the big showdown on how it happened in the book and have an epic LotR killfest like it should of been.

That was the only letdown in my opinion of Breaking Dawn.

In over 30 years of movie fanboy worship, this is the first "major blockbuster event" that I'm taking a pass on. I have ZERO DESIRE to see a frame of this movie! Can anybody explain why this CW Primetime Series Disguised As A Movie is getting so much play?

Because it's going to make insane amounts of money, and people are excited for it.

Again, I think if you haven't read the book(s) you don't quite understand...it's insane. In a great, obsessive way.

Also, I hope the best for the film series, should sequels happen, but I really think Breaking Dawn is close to unfilmable...

Since the books allegedly went downhill after this one, this hopefully will be the only time we have to endure any hype from this film franchise.

Whats to understand, a 108 year old man getting touchy feely with a 17 year old. Jen I am usually pretty open minded, but everything I have heard from fans of the books on the story and characters make the books sound soo bad.

I had the misfortune of reading part of this series of "literature" and it is UTTER CRAP. Stephanie Meyer practically rapes the thesaurus so she can stretch sentences out with adverbs and adjectives. She uses the exact same imagery (I use this word loosely) and dialogue over and over again; there is no plot. Her vampires are completely indestructible aside from the fact that they SPARKLE when the go out in the sun. WTF?

It's the OC/Degrassi/any other teen/young adult "drama" but, holy ****, SHOCKER: with vamps. Thanks... but no thanks.

Why you guys complain about 108vs17?? is it not the dreams of most old man to go out with a young and attractive lady?? ^_^

I resisted Harry Potter until the end but having nothing to do for a while in another country, I listened to all the audiobooks read by Stephen Fry... it was jolly good! I dont regret it and im now a fan. I cant judge those kids for enjoying a kids book really. At 13 years old I was crazy about Dragonlance and that was pretty bad litterature. Reading LOTR the year after wash it away. I admit having enjoyed HP more than Tolstoy's War and Peace and Flaubert's Madame Bovary.
