Borders Exclusive 2-Disc Edition ($29.99)
So why settle for the standard DVD when you can get much, much more? A Borders-exclusive 2-disc release offers additional cast interviews and ten exclusive collectible cards. (They sparkle!) If you weren't one of thousands of screaming fans lining the Mann Village Theater at the Twilight premiere, an added extra feature brings the experience to you via video interviews with the cast on the red carpet.

Target Exclusive 3-Disc Edition ($17.99)
The best DVD option for die-hard Twilight fans appears to be over at Target, where you'll find a 3-disc exclusive edition. This set enhances the standard 2-disc Special Edition with a digital version of the film and a third disc of additional Twilight movie footage. A third disc!
Here you'll find great fan-centric extras like Edward's piano performance, Pattinson and Stewart featurettes, "Bella's Lullaby" remix video, a conversation with Stephenie Meyer, and -- most importantly -- a vampire "kiss" montage created by Hardwicke herself. The director herself made a "music video" of sorts combining the best things about Twilight (namely, sexy vampires and their sexy scenes), and really, isn't that why we came to Twilight in the first place?

The Ultimate Collector's Edition Box Set - DVD ($59.99)
Of course, if you're more than just a casual fan of Twilight, you're going to need more. Hence, the Ultimate Collector's Edition box set (listed at $99.99 but selling at Costco for $59.99). In addition to the 2-disc Special Edition DVD, the set comes housed in a Twilight-themed jewelry box and includes the best-selling soundtrack CD (two RPattz tracks -- score!). Also included are a few essential accessories, like a Twilight charm bracelet, a watch, a bookmark (for reading New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, naturally), and six photo cards. This is a gift set ideal for younger Twilight fans, unless you're not too bashful to wear your Twilight charm bracelet around the office.

Twilight on Blu-ray ($23.99 on Amazon)
Twilight's Blu-ray release --- available only at Target and Best Buy for the first few months --- contains all of the extra features found on the various DVD editions. We highly recommend it if you're equipped with Blu-ray capabilities, because it's the only way to get the entire collection of Twilight bonus features in one place.

The Ultimate Collector's Edition Box Set -- Blu-ray ($79.99)
...that is, until Amazon's Ultimate Collector's Edition Box Set for Blu-ray hits in May 2009 (listed at $109.99 but selling for $79.99 exclusively on Amazon). Target and Best Buy have the monopoly on selling Twilight Blu-rays until May, which will give Summit and new director Chris Weitz enough time to come up with the BD-Live sneak peek at New Moon, an additional extra feature that will apparently only become available on the May 5 release of the Blu-ray box set! Other than the New Moon sneak, the Blu-ray set will be identical to the DVD Ultimate Collection.
Phew! That's it as far as your Twilight options go. While you decide which set is for you, camp out for your local midnight DVD release party (this Friday night nationwide) and watch our exclusive DVD bonus clip below.

I won't be going near the dvd, but Jen this is a good article for the fans... also just a reminder: I changed my twitter name from movistarchild to JackGiroux, and yes the new icon picture is a photo of me- I know, the mystery of how awesome I look is finally over... So yeah good article for fans, I don't think there is any other site that is promoting Twilight more then RT, so I guess more power to u guys! (Reply to this) |

reavus4983 writes: on Mar 20 2009 07:48 AM Worst movie I've seen in theaters in years. Couldn't stop laughing. I am sure all the crazed Twilight fans (including the woman who actually brought her book to read along with the movie -- in the dark, apparently) wanted to go vampire on me, but I simply couldn't help it. Robert Pattinson should be a comedian. (Reply to this) |

RoadDogXVIII writes: on Mar 21 2009 11:20 AM Robert Pattinson makes me cum like a beer can. No, but seriously, this is a lousy movie. Okay, aside from furthering a propaganda for girls to ignore the normal guy and go for the dim-bulb hot guy, it's just unwatchable. How come Disney didn't pick this up? I mean, the way that company's headed, "Twilight" should've been something for the Disney crowd. Because Robert Pattinson is Zac Efron, and Kristin Stewart is Vanessa Hudgens. Dumb, and dumber. Shelving Unit writes: on Mar 21 2009 12:44 PM Amazon sent me my 2-disc edition yesterday and I immediately popped it in to hear the audio commentary. Pattinson had me in stitches. Seriously, this movie was hilariously bad by itself, but the commentary made it even better. 'Tis a shame Hardwicke won't be doing the next one. I hope it's just as funny. (Reply to this) |

Michelle C. writes: on Mar 21 2009 04:15 PM I've seen better acting in Soap Operas, Stars Wars "Phantom Menace", and "Attack of the Clones". And don't get me started on the terrible special effects, I could see the cables not that not seeing the cables would have made this movie any better. (Reply to this) |

Kate G. writes: on Mar 21 2009 07:43 PM Ok, did I want the movie to be more like the book? Of course! But I liked it for what it was, just as all die hard twilight fans did. I wish there was more Cullen family character development, the friendship with Alice is completely absent of details....but all in all enjoyable. (Reply to this) |
