The Twilight Saga: New Moon - Start Obsessing Now!

NEW MOON: WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING MOST

All that said, Weitz and Co. are only weeks into production, currently filming in Vancouver. While we eagerly await the first official production stills and teaser trailers for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, we've selected a handful of moments we're most looking forward to seeing on screen.

"Are you sure you don't want to see Tomorrow and Forever instead? Rotten Tomatoes gave it a better review." - Mike Newton to Bella Swan, Chapter 9, New Moon

That's right -- a Stephenie Meyer shout out to Rotten Tomatoes! Naturally, Bella Swan opts for the gore fest Crosshairs instead of a romantic comedy called Tomorrow and Forever, still hurting from her break-up with Edward. What better way to spend an awkward Three's Company moment, on a movie date with rival beaus Mike Newton and Jacob Black? Mike doesn't make it far into the movie before he has to barf from the carnage; maybe if they'd seen the better-reviewed Tomorrow and Forever, he wouldn't have left Bella in Jacob's eager hands! Rookie mistake. Always trust the Tomatometer.

We're also curious to see how director Weitz handles Bella's hallucinations; in the book, she discovers that her deep depression over losing Edward has created a psychological tic in which she can hear his voice when in dangerous situations. This leads to a handful of scenes in which Bella stupidly endangers herself on purpose -- essential plot events which are quite likely to draw criticism, being that it's an incredibly unhealthy way for a girl to nurse a broken heart. We'd like to see Rosenberg's script find a stronger way for Bella to move on with her life, in the same way that Stewart played an emboldened version of Bella in the first Twilight film.

Lastly, there's the pivotal Volterra sequence; as Bella and Alice race to Italy to save Edward, we'll see the lovers reunite, Edward's sparkling effect, and meet the Volturi vampires for the first time -- a culmination of events that will effectively set up subsequent films. The Volterra scenes have the most potential to inject excitement into an otherwise sedate storyline, given that Bella will be racing against the clock in an exotic locale, and will be introduced to a new world of powerful and dark vampires.

What are you looking forward to seeing in New Moon? Twilighters, chime in below and check back for regular updates in our Twilight Corner on RT.

This must be STOPPED! Twilight= Apocalypse. Edwards Face= Zoolander Constipated. There is only one way to put an end to this, get that Edward kid to a tanning bed stat! Then we get him un-constipated, ledawg or Tomwaits Jr can do that job. Then girls won't like him anymore, then people will turn there backs on Twilight and that goofy kid's face. Maybe, just maybe if we do that, we can save mankind! Good work though Jen, nice for the fans... Demolish the Twilight EMPIRE!

i liked twilight for what it was. it almost reminded me of something from the 80's. a movie we all like to watch because it's kinda cheesy but strangely rad too.
also loved watchmen., so in response to jokerboy, let the kids have their twilight.

much better to me than a fast and the furious empire.

I have never fallen asleep so many times while reading a book. And I've read "Sir Walter Cratchett Esquire's Treatise on Pine Cone Keeping and Storing: A Historie."
It was 3,000 pages long in 9 point font... yet Twilight was just soooo boring.

Why? Why does RT propagate a fandom the gross minority of its readers are a part of?

Nothing can stop the swarm of teenage girls crazy over a vampire pedophiliac. Damn whoever wrote this book in the first place!

For God's sake, 'Twilight' is NOT that bad! I really don't understand this whole negative backlash. There are plenty of sh**ty movies out there to worry about-'Fast and Furious' managed to steal over 70 million at the box-office this weekend? Yes. They're still making those awful movies! No. 'Twilight' wasn't a life-changer, BUT for what it is, it's not half bad. I enjoyed the damn thing, and I'm not some bubble-licious chewing tween-no offense. C'mon! Not every movie can be 'Magnolia' (or put down your favorite film, and you get the point).

Thank you Tyrant, I was beginning to think I was the only one who thinks that it's incredibly disgusting and wrong that a movie got made where it's suddenly ok(and even encouraged) to be an old man going to high school and picking up on 15 year olds. The only difference is that Ed is an old man who looks young. I'll remember to use that line if I ever get arrested for statutory (Honest officer, I'm a vampire so it's ok if shes only 15) pfft.

Stop trying to fight it. Ignore the Twilight stories and just go see a real vampire movie. Twilight is just an after-school special with vampires instead of greasers, and no one ever complained this much about an after-school special. After all, there is worse stuff out there.

LOL were just all having fun, I really didn't like Twilight but yeah I didn't down right hate it like some. I can see why fans like it, the movie reached out to them, so the movie obviously achieved one of its goals. I would also say the same for Fast and Furious, not a bad movie, and something that fans will like. The movies achieve what they want to be, but what they do just isn't for me.I can see why people like them, I'm not trying to bash anyone, just having fun.

Ha! That would be a funny little incident for the cop to tell his friends/family. Wouldn't surprise me if it actually happened, either.

I actually enjoyed the UNDERWORLD films, for their twist on the vampire mythos. TWILIGHT has ripped off many of the ideas from that series, and blended it with GOSSIP GIRL and THE HILLS... Vomit.

You know I don't like "Twilight" at all, but I'm glad someone here does. I mean, good ol' Jen put effort into this, for the fans.
