Critic Review - Chicago Sun-Times

Kristen Stewart is really pretty good here, although like almost all actresses she believes pregnant women rub their baby bumps unceasingly.

Wait a minute? You're a Flixtard! So what do you know about cinematic criticism or film whatsoever?

Ebert's best score since the first one. Twilight was 2.5/4, New Moon was 1/4, Eclipse was 2/4... now it's back to 2.5/4. I think that right there is saying something about the quality of this film compared to the last two. Even if it didn't make his "fresh" 3/4 rating, I'm fine with this.

That's just sad and speaks about your taste in movies. But, with Twilight, I guess the bst you could hope for is a crappy rating. Plus, it's getting some of the worst reviews that any Twilight movie has ever gotten. Even New Moon started off on a pretty high note, compared to it's final score. I think this one will be the lowest scoring one, actually. This movie started off with an 11%, and while a couple positive reviews are starting to come in, the negatives reviews coming in even faster. Don't keep your hopes up.

So, the millions of people that actually DO like the Twilight series must ALL have horrible taste in film right? None of them could possibly know what a great film really is, correct? Or maybe YOU just have the best taste in film ever. Maybe that's it. Point? Just because someone finds something to enjoy in these films, doesn't mean that defines what their movie taste is. I like Twilight and my favorite film is On the Waterfront. What does that say about me?

It says you have brilliant taste in movies. On the Waterfront is my favorite movie too. I'm seeing Breaking Dawn Sat.

I love Godfather and Citizen Kane, but some of my favorite movies are Jackie Chan's Chinese produced B movies. I love Prime Rib but I also love McDonald's McRib. What does that say about me? Nothing. Everyone has different opinions and tastes. Why waste your time fighting about it?

I don't know what it says about you, but I know what it doesn't say. It doesn't say that Twilight is a good movie - its merely your guilty pleasure.

Have you ever been enamored by the films of Bergman, witnessed the clarity of the Technicolor in Powell and Pressburger's The Red Shoes, or the glorious black and whites of Antonioni's L'Avventura, Fellini's La Strada, Kurosawa's Rashoman, Scorsese's Raging Bull? I have been. Why don't you just check out some of my favorites while your at it. You hate Twilight and you are religiously checking the Tomatometer for Breaking Dawn Part 1.. why waste your time?

"although like almost all actresses she believes pregnant women rub their baby bumps unceasingly."

That actually sounds pretty true to life, based on my observation of pregnant woman who hold their bellies 24 hours a day as if it will fall off otherwise.

Uh no. My sister is five months pregnant and she doesn't constantly hold her belly 24 hours a day. She's got other things to do than constantly reminding herself that she's getting fatter.

I think I have never seen pregnant women rub their stomachs as much as when actresses play pregnant. Then again, I tend to avoid pregnant women.

Thank you Roger Ebert for another great review. Only fans or teenage girls will see this movie so i guess the actors don't really have to act to get alot of money.

Movie, I hate to break it to you... but fans of all ages and gender watch these movies. I just saw BD, and it was a 21 and over showing with 1/3 of the audience was male.

So all the males are either gay or poor unfortunate souls that were dragged to the movie by their girlfriend?

i have to admit this was pretty funny for ebert. he clearly does not know what is going on...since she is only pregnant for at most 2 months ...not 9...but i was glad to see he didnt try to insult those who are fans of the books/movies.

I love this review, Ebert seems like he doesn't know what to talk about since this Twilight thing is beyond him (and he's not alone there).

He's just like "Uhhhh, the people are like getting married and stuff so yeah". Love it.

I love how half-assed this review is, he's basically saying: "the movie's stupid as fuck, but i guess it's alright for its..... kind....... whatever."
