We told you it was coming, and today it finally landed: the first official teaser poster for the upcoming vampire romance sequel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon! After debuting exclusively in print newspapers across the country early this morning, the one sheet is now available online.

Based on the second novel in author Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book series, New Moon finds its teenage protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart) torn between her love for the vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and her growing friendship with local teen Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Below, see the burgeoning love triangle depicted in the first official teaser poster for New Moon, which hits theaters November 20, 2009.

All caps is pretty much what I expect from the Twilight demographic.

I dont get the connection between the Twilight saga and RT. I mean RT is website dedicated to movies and Twilight/New Moon are.....movies. Nevermind I answered my own question. Carry on.

Speaking as a 40-something -- love the poster, love both Kristen and Rob's work in Twilight and their other films.

Is that the same actor who played Jacob Black in the last movie?

Yeah I think it is, I remember them saying they wanted to replace him though.
Kind of cheesy poster, of course it is. I am kind of interested in seeing how the third film turns out since it's David Slade, but I still wish he wouldn't do it.

Taylor Lautner returns as Jacob Black, though there was talk between films of recasting him since Jacob's transformation in New Moon in the books suggest a much larger physicality than Lautner has in real life. But he's back!

As a Twilight fan, I like the poster - It's much better than those Photoshopped fan art fake posters that were popping up a while back. And def. more natural than the Twilight poster.

And for those who were wondering, we'll keep posting about Twilight on RT because some of us (cough cough) happen to be very interested in it. Twilight warrants representation online in more places than just fan sites.
So, there you have it.

Well, the only way is up after the first film. And 30 Days of Night is certainly a better film.

Stewart is looking quite the distress-bound damsel there. Will the director be expanding on some of the book's reactionary Mormon values in this film? How odd that this dude directed "Hard Candy" before this...

Any word on full frontal male nudity in this film?

LOL no. Chris Weitz is doing this one, the guy who did The Golden Compass. David Slade is going to be doing the third film.

I like the poster as posters go, but find it a little strange that Kristen appears to be the only one who hasn't aged since the last movie. This movie will as its predecessor will be much better than 30 Days of Night which was terrible as a story. So many good Vampire films out there Brams Stokers Dracula, Near Dark, The Lost Boys. Why go with 30 Days of Night which I couldn't remember half of 30 minutes after seeing it.

twilight is whack. they could've at least made a good movie to go along with all the attention it was getting. hopefully they'll do better with the second.
