[Tyler Perry's Wesley] is Prince Charming for a prospective audience of women who are less enchanted by rippling abs than by kindness and responsibility.

When is that "real women" can't love "real men" for who they are inside and not " rippling abs", where is that written that women will only want to look at " rippling abs"on screen? I didn't see any reviews about when Jack Black or Kevin James when they acted as romantic interests in a movie?

No one can possibly love Tyler Perry more than Tyler Perry. We, as a single united people, need to put a stop to this man. DO NOT ENCOURAGE HIM.

i use to be like you. i wanted to hate TP just for the sake of it. most of his movies are awful, but not this one. Believe me, I wanted this movie to be bad just so I could say "aha!" to everyone who loves him. I'm not ever going to be on the bandwagon, but this is actually a good movie. Not great, and he gets out of hand with some of it, ie "5th generation ivy league grad." I'm a black man and I'm just saying that I have never in my life met a black 5th generation ivy league grad. It doesn't take away from the story, but why not portray Wesley Deeds as something more realistic?
