  • Ajay is on a cruise with his friends and is having a whale of a time, when he finds Pia, a crew member, and time stands still. It is love at first sight for him, but Pia is not too impressed with his very obvious ways of trying to woo her. However, Ajay doesn't give up and Pia has no choice but to finally give in. The two soon get married. Their marriage flourishes until one day their world comes crashing down when Pia is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Ajay's senior psychiatrist friend convinces him to admit her to his care centre as there is no point of return for her. Unwilling at first, Ajay relents, although half-heartedly, and puts his wife in the facility despite her pleas to take her back home.

Though repetitively talky in the first half, shows an accomplished eye for visuals and a confident hand for narrative.

The first half is dumb kid stuff, but the second is classic melodrama aimed straight at viewers who've experienced life's cruel caprices and taken stock of what really matters.

    A worthy but mushy watch.
