Critic Review - New York Times

Unlike Mr. Nighy, who puts an amusing camp spin on his every line and gesture, Mr. Sheen appears to have taken his monster duties seriously.

I fully agree with Manohla, Sheen is an extremely good actor, Nighy seems to have adopted theatrical camp as his milieu, though it brings something to his roles which have tended to be over the top by nature anyway (Viktor, Love actually, Pirates etc). I'm also annoyed at the underlit sequences, there's a limit to creating mood and mystery with darkness, it soon becomes 'what just happened?' Over editing is rife, if people weren't epileptics when they went into the movie....there's something to be said for the older styles where the camera and the cut didn't jump all over the place.

I enjoyed the movie, maybe they could had used you as a monster in the movie.
