Movie Info

Carefree college student and would-be rock singer Jason Kempler (Brian Austin Green) is forced to do a lot of growing up in a hurry when his disgruntled girlfriend Melanie (Nicholle Tom) shows up at his door with their baby in her arms. Melanie wants nothing to do with the kid, so she dumps him on Jason--who, in his bumbling efforts to become an "instant" dad, not only ends up being booted out of college, but also exiled from his rock band. By the time Jason has grown to love his baby and has adjusted to the rigors of parenthood, in storms Melanie again--this time to demand custody of her son. But don't be too hard on Melanie: the real "heavies" in this piece turn out to be Melanie's insensitive mother (Isabella Hoffman) and Jason's selfish stepmother (Faye Grant). Made for television, Unwed Father was initially seen over ABC on October 12, 1997.more

Good story - very realistic and touching.

Of Course what first drew me to this was Brian Austin Green, had been wathcing him since his 90210 days and thought he was a cuttie, and loved the character he portrayed.
This movie of course was a far cry from 90210 and was done brilliantly by him, he made you feel as if this was really his kid and that he was in this messed up situation, his acting I think is always believable.
The morale of the story is of course obvious when you watch it.....always use protection if your going to have sex. Wish Brian was in more movies.

loved this, found it very touching and wishing it was more young men like Brian Austin Green's character. Always loved Brian since 90210

I like lifetime movies once in awhile & happened to catch this one.
I thought it was a good realistic movie. Showing too teenagers, who made a huge change in their lifestyles with one night of lust.
I don't understand how any mother could do that to their child & just expect everything to be normal when she returned.
The ending thru me for a loop, because that was not what I wanted to happen or thought would happen. Green turned his life around and protrayed a great role or being the independent, responsible, caring father.

*~Beautifully Broken~*
