Movie Info

As youngsters, siblings Yanne and Axel were adopted by two different Norwegian families, and thus separated for years - she fell into the custody of a middle-class family on the east side of Oslo, while his foster parents were a wealthy-as-sin couple from Oslo's upper-crust west side. Unsurprisingly, Yanne evolved as a mature, confident and well-adjusted young woman, while Axel emerged as a selfish, pompous, spoiled-rotten brat. As adults, the two have no contact with one another, but Yanne longs to reacquaint herself with Axel.. Fate intervenes in the form of Maria, a Polish friend of Yanne's who commences housekeeping work for Axel's foster parents and accidentally discovers a photograph of Axel as a young boy - the same photograph she spotted on the wall of Yanne's apartment; she then decides to reunite the estranged siblings. Meanwhile, Maria also begins an ill-advised affair with Yanne's little brother, which leads to enormous complicationsmore

Audience Reviews for Upperdog

Eh.. I don't know what to say about this one. I only understood 50% of it. It wasn't very exciting though. It was nice, but not very exciting. It's very similar to other movies with covers of many faces (think about this one). Happy ending though, so if you're into that, go for it.
