The sadistic proceedings revolve around thief and murderer Joe Brezzi (Dallesandro) as he escapes from prison and terrorizes an unhappily married couple and the woman's sister (with whom the husband is having a secret affair), who are vacationing in a home where Joe has stashed his stolen loot. Disturbing scenes of rape and violence dominate in this nihilistic giallo that tips its hat to Wes Craven's horror classic THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT and Mario Bava's RABID DOGS. [More]

  • Legendary Andy Warhol superstar JOE DALLESANDRO at his sulkiest, sexiest, broodingly hunkiest best! Joe plays a murderer and thief who arrives at a remote country house to retrieve the loot he has buried under the fireplace, only to find the place occupied by the current owners, up for a holiday. Rather than grab the money and run, Joe sticks around to torture, tease, rape and otherwise cause distress for the husband, his wife and her sister, who, we discover, is a nymphomaniac having an affair with the husband. Joe, not your everyday lame-brained murderous thug, sniffs the heady aroma of hypocrisy in the air and proceeds to happily torment this already dysfunctional trio, playing them against one another. This rare, quietly horrific little gem boasts strong performances, a very compelling music score, and taut direction. An unsung, undiscovered Italian treasure.
