Four Funny Guys Join Ferrell's Race Comedy

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Will Ferrell's next big comedy will co-star John C. Reilly, Michael Clarke Duncan, Gary Cole, and Sacha Baron ("Ali G") Cohen. The project is a Nascar comedy that's presently untitled, but used to be known as "Talladega Nights."

"The story follows Ricky Bobby (Ferrell), a world-class race car driver and fan favorite. Cohen ... will play Jean Girard, a gay, French Formula One driver who comes to the U.S. to conquer NASCAR and defeat Ferrell. Reilly ... will play Cal Naughton, Ferrell's boyhood friend who together with Ferrell forms "Thunder & Lightning," the most feared racing duo in NASCAR."

Ferrell's frequent collaborator, Adam McKay, is directing and co-writing with the comedian.

Holy crap...It's Anchorman 2. I'm in line already.

I killed a man with a trident.

Yeah...Brick, I've been meaning to talk with you about that. You should probably lay low for awhile. Because you're probably wanted for murder.

Well, as a native of North Carolina who cares nothing about NASCAR, I can't wait to see what kind of backwoods hicks they make us out to be.
