The Rock, a Rapper, and a Director Join the "Gridiron Gang"
Variety brings news of "Gridiron Gang," a new sports flick that "concerns a dedicated probation officer ... who puts together a football team of juvenile-detention inmates to compete against local high school teams." The Rock ("Walking Tall," "The Rundown") is already on board to play the probation officer, rapper Xzibit is close to landing a role, and Sony just signed Phil Joanou ("State of Grace," "Three O'Clock High") to direct.
