I can't lie - I've been looking forward to Wall-E since I saw the teaser.

There's something about objects that shouldn't have emotions or thoughts, that I find hilarious. Pixar has always been exceptionally good at making very likable characters out of things like pillows and lamp shades. I'll be there opening weekend for sure.

Speed Racer could be entertaining, but I was hoping for a lot more. The CGI looks unfinished (hopefully) so I'm praying for a bit better quality. The feel of it just seems... off to me.

Hey, Young Turk, have you ever watched speed racer? The cars never looked remotely realistic, they always were outlandish and ridiculous, sorry but people expecting nascars to zoom across the screen will be disappointed. It's a movie based of a cartoon, therefore expect it to be made for families and kids with bright colors and little stupid gags. Not made for you, creepy sci-fi guy that lives in his parents basement, go back to watching Stargate Atlantis. Oh and wall-e looks amazing.

I love bright colors and stupid gags, bright colors are awesome and stupid gags have done nothing to offend. And yes, Wall-E does look amazing, and it will probably also have a lot of smart gags in it, which are awesome too.

Wall*e looks amazing, probably the best pixar trailer I've ever seen (although I'll admit they often do trailers that undersell the movie).

Speed Racer looks insane and utterly cartoony...and I'm totally OK with that. They obviously didn't even try to go for anything realistic, and I think that's a totally valid choice, not to mention pretty appropriate for the show. Trixie's helicopter and pilot outfit are a riot.

I'd have to say colour me excited about Speed Racer. Totally looks like manga anime made real-ish. I was somewhat sold on the teaser, but this trailer gets me into the IMAX theatre, front row.

I liked the speed racer cartoon, and am not expecting them to make Speed Racer and Racer X, like the matrix, if that is what you are expecting, realize this IT IS a kids movie. Be no different if the Coens did a live action Smurfs movie and you expect NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. Wise up. And Romsy, well said.

i thought the first speed racer trailer was crap. that second actually gave me a slight to tug to go see it. amazing how a trailer can effect how much you want to a see a movie so much. wall-e is a definite must either way.

I absolutely adore Wall-E! I've seen the trailer about ten times now and I keep showing it to colleagues and friends. It is so cool AND adorable. And the animation just can't be better. I love how they simulate jerky camera and out of focus. How can you make animation look like Jackass?!

I might go see Speedracer, just 'cause I feel sorry for the Wachowskis.

It's a pretty safe bet, but I'm calling it anyway, Wall-E will be one of the very best movies of 2008. There's Pixar, and then there's everyone else.

I am scared that Speed Racer will be a cross between the Matrix and the Flintstones. If it is, then it will suck big fat hairy balls.

Wall*E on the other hand looks amazing and should be one of the best movies this year. Pixar has never disappointed in both animation quality and story depth and quality.

The cool thing about Speed Racer is back when it first came out around the early 70's it was the only cartoon where people actually died. (or kids show for that matter) Think about it, that was pretty wild for the era that ushered in Scooby-Doo, HR Puffinstuff and The Brady Bunch...I'm mean, c'mon...PEOPLE DIED!

That was pretty darn cool back in the day.

i don't think speedracer could do good outstide the states (maybe japan) the cartoon is not famous at all over the pond so it has to do brilliant domestic cus it looks like an expensive movie. still it could be fun for kids no more.

wall-E doens't look exciting but still decent. they should do more incredibles/ action packed cartoons cus the brand isn't what it used to be.

Seriously, people who speak ill about it never have anything valid or intelligent to say. It's always "bright colors and its gay", or "i don't like, so it must completely suck in every way". Some of you should maybe try thinking a bit before you speak.
