Hope you guys like CGI!

New trailers for two of the summer's most highly anticipated movies hit the Web this week. Who wants a look at more of Wall-E and Speed Racer?

Oh, everyone? Right on. Let's get to trailerin'!

First up, we've got the new full-length trailer for Pixar's Wall-E, and if you were on the fence about spending 90 minutes with a robot who looks vaguely like Johnny 5's animated cousin, prepare to climb down and join the rest of us. Clicking on the link below is all that stands between you and a fresh batch of Pixar-y goodness, so click! Click already!

And then there's the Wachowski brothers' take on Speed Racer, which drops Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Fox, John Goodman, and a monkey into a day-glo universe filled with loud music, ninjas, and...well, racing. The new two-and-a-half-minute theatrical trailer is at the second link below -- you know what to do!

Well? What's your verdict, people? Are these sneak peeks leaving you wanting more, or wishing you'd never seen them?

I can't lie - I've been looking forward to Wall-E since I saw the teaser.

There's something about objects that shouldn't have emotions or thoughts, that I find hilarious. Pixar has always been exceptionally good at making very likable characters out of things like pillows and lamp shades. I'll be there opening weekend for sure.

Speed Racer could be entertaining, but I was hoping for a lot more. The CGI looks unfinished (hopefully) so I'm praying for a bit better quality. The feel of it just seems... off to me.

I thought it was just Speed Racer that was gay, but in fact it is Emile Hirsch thats gay. Put that baby to rest.

What does either of them being gay have to do with anything?

The movie still looks like a bunch of toy cars with bad special effects.

"The movie still looks like a bunch of toy cars with bad special effects."

Well, the TV show looked like a bunch of toy cars with bad animation-- I'd say the movie hit the nail on the head!

Hey, Young Turk, have you ever watched speed racer? The cars never looked remotely realistic, they always were outlandish and ridiculous, sorry but people expecting nascars to zoom across the screen will be disappointed. It's a movie based of a cartoon, therefore expect it to be made for families and kids with bright colors and little stupid gags. Not made for you, creepy sci-fi guy that lives in his parents basement, go back to watching Stargate Atlantis. Oh and wall-e looks amazing.

I love bright colors and stupid gags, bright colors are awesome and stupid gags have done nothing to offend. And yes, Wall-E does look amazing, and it will probably also have a lot of smart gags in it, which are awesome too.

Wall-E looks epic, and Speed Racer looks better than I initially thought. This will definitely be a very interesting summer for movies...

Wall*e looks amazing, probably the best pixar trailer I've ever seen (although I'll admit they often do trailers that undersell the movie).

Speed Racer looks insane and utterly cartoony...and I'm totally OK with that. They obviously didn't even try to go for anything realistic, and I think that's a totally valid choice, not to mention pretty appropriate for the show. Trixie's helicopter and pilot outfit are a riot.

I'd have to say colour me excited about Speed Racer. Totally looks like manga anime made real-ish. I was somewhat sold on the teaser, but this trailer gets me into the IMAX theatre, front row.

Go Speed Racer Go?

F|_|ck yeah!
